New Orleans has one of the oldest continuous operating streetcar lines in the United States. The historic St. Charles line, along with other lines, are a key part of the RTA network. The streetcar system uses actual and replica historic cars throughout.

How to take streetcar

Riders can board streetcar at designated stops generally located by the intersection.

Board the streetcar through the front door and pay or show pass when boarding.

Disabled access

All cars on lines other than St. Charles are accessible at all stops via onboard lift located at the center door. Only selected streetcars on St. Charles are accessible at designated stops.
