Marin Transit provides local transit within Marin County. Marin Transit connects with Golden Gate Transit regional bus service, Golden Gate Ferry, and Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit. For many years, Marin Transit local service was operated only by Golden Gate Transit under the Golden Gate Transit brand.
