AC Transit Service Changes

AC Transit has revised select schedules to improve reliability and service quality. Service changes include the following key initiatives:

• Increase service on Line 60 to accommodate anticipated ridership increase at Cal State University, East Bay
• Shorten loop on Lines 71 and 376 following community feedback at Public Hearing and as approved by AC Transit Board of Directors
• Adjust Line 1 schedule and routing to prepare for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service launch in March 2020
• Extend Line 217 to Milpitas BART station as approved by AC Transit Board of Directors

Reminder: temporary bus stop relocations to Franklin Street due to construction on Broadway Avenue will remain in effect.

Service changes effective Sunday, December 15, 2019:

Line(s)	Description of changes
1	Revised schedule and routing: service begins at the Uptown Transit Center between approximately 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Service begins at 11th Street & Clay Street outside of these hours.
6	Addition of one trip in each direction on weekends and holidays, and minor schedule changes.
14	Revised route between High Street and Fruitvale BART on San Leandro Street, and minor schedule changes.
34	Bus stop moved to Fargo Avenue heading toward Hayward BART, and minor schedule changes.
39	Addition of one trip when school is in session, leaving Fruitvale BART to Skyline High School at 7:10 a.m.
47	Revised route between High Street and Fruitvale BART on San Leandro Street. New stops established on International Boulevard, East of 45th Avenue. Minor schedule changes.
60	Increased service hours Monday through Friday, revised to operate every 17 minutes from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Bus stop moved at Chabot College, east of the current location, closer to Hesperian Boulevard.
70	Bus stop removed at 13th Street at Lincoln Avenue. Use stop on 13th Street at Dunn Avenue or 17th Street at Lincoln Avenue.
71, 376	Revised route through Parchester Village, serving stops on Griffin Drive at McGlothen Way and Phanor Drive at McGlothen Way. Minor schedule changes.
94	Bus stop removed at 2nd Street and B Street towards Hayward BART. Use the stop around the corner of 2nd Street and B Street.
96, 611	Revised route between Lake Merritt BART and 14th Avenue.
217	Revised to serve the new Transit Center at Milpitas BART and connect with VTA service and light rail. Route includes serving Milpitas Blvd. between Calaveras Boulevard and Montague Expressway, and not serve Los Coches Street, Main Street and the Great Mall/Main Transit Center. Minor schedule changes.
239	Revised operations with one less trip in each direction. Minor schedule changes.
356	Revised to include only one stop along International Blvd at 87th Avenue. Use the stop on 64th Avenue at Fenham Street, or board at the stop on 73rd Avenue at Hegenberger Road toward Alameda. Minor schedule changes.
648	Revised route between High Street and Fruitvale BART.
682	Revised route to begin at 40th Street & Broadway toward Bishop O�Dowd High School. Minor schedule changes.
705, 710	Revised to discontinue operations.
800	Revised schedule to discontinue the trip leaving Richmond BART at 6:53 a.m. on Sundays. During downtown Oakland detour, All Nighter service connects at the Uptown Transit Center and does not serve areas on 12th Street, 14th Street or Broadway Avenue.
801	Revised route with timed transfer to future BRT service.
802, 805, 840	Revised route as follows: Lines 802 and 805 begin and end service at the Uptown Transit Center. Line 840 continues north to the Uptown Transit Center from 12th Street.
BF3	Revised operations to add shuttle route between the Transbay Bus Storage Facility in San Francisco and AC Transit�s Richmond Division (Division 3), serving Richmond in the late mornings and San Francisco in the late afternoon.
U	Bus stop removed on Fremont Boulevard between Mowry Avenue and Monroe. Take Line 99 or 210 to Peralta Boulevard, and cross the tracks to board at the stop outside the Amtrak/ACE station building.
Other	Minor schedule changes on lines 12, 18, 19, 28, 33, 35, 51A, 54, 88, 97, 99, 251, 626, 631, 662, 684, 701, 703, 707, 851 and NL.

Bus stop relocations are implemented at the following Transit Centers:

El Cerrito Plaza BART	Relocated bus stops to the South of the BART station entrance, previously serviced by Line 80. Line 80 stop is located at the North of the station entrance, previously serviced by lines 72 and 72M.
Fremont BART	Relocated bus stop on several lines at the BART station.

In addition, lines with trips that operate on school days will have updated information available at actransit.org before December 15. These lines include 33, 39, 46, 51A, 72M, 76, 95, 97, 217, and 600 through 699.

New schedules and route maps are available at actransit.org. All lines have printable timetables available online, and new pocket timetables are available onboard for lines 6, 12, 14, 18, 19, 28, 29, 33, 34, 35, 39, 47, 51A, 54, 60, 71, 72, 72M, 88, 97, 99 (weekdays only), 217, 239, 251, 356, 376, 800, 801, 802, 805, 851 and NL.
