AC Transit will begin the implementation of the Service Recovery Plan on Sunday, August 9. Also on August 9, AC Transit will launch Tempo Line 1T, AC Transit"s new bus rapid transit service, that will run along East 14th/International Blvd. between San Leandro BART and Uptown Oakland.

The conditions created by the pandemic necessitated swift changes in AC Transit operations and service delivery which began in March 2020. Our response to the downturn in the economy was informed by its unprecedented social and public health impacts on our communities. As a result, we have temporarily stopped fare collection, activated modified service with rear-door boarding and require face coverings onboard.

As the multi-phase reopening proceeds in our service area, we remain committed to safe operations, optimized service and financial sustainability. For example, we are thrilled to be introducing AC Transit Tempo, our new bus rapid transit service, which is coming soon, and will be essential to AC Transit"s recovery and improved operations.

Our recovery includes restoring service to 75% of pre-pandemic levels as follows:

• Limited restoration of service on some local and Transbay lines
• Supplementary School Service continues to be suspended for at least one month after August 9
• AC Transit will inform the public when school service resumes

*Note: Social distancing measures remain in effect thus bus capacity limits will still apply.

Service changes effective August 9, 2020:

6	Restore service to every 12 minutes on weekdays, with minor schedule changes.
7	Suspension of weekend service.
10	Restore service to every 17 minutes on weekdays, with minor schedule changes.
14	Restore service to every 17 minutes on weekdays, with minor schedule changes.
19	Operate service every 60 minutes daily.
21	Restore service to the Harbor Bay Ferry Terminal, with minor schedule changes on weekdays.
29	Suspension of weekend service, with minor schedule changes.
33	Restore trips that operate school days only for the Fall.
35	Operate service between Bay Fair BART and the Juvenile Justice Center on weekends only.
39	Restore service, with additional trips operating from Skyline High School on school days.
40	Restore service on weekdays to every 10 minutes between downtown Oakland and Eastmont Transit Center, and every 20 minutes between Eastmont Transit Center and Bay Fair BART. Other minor schedule changes.
45	Restore service on weekdays to operate between every 15 and 30 minutes, with minor schedule changes.
46	Service is suspended.
46L	Service is restored.
51A	Restore service on weekdays to operate between every 10 and 12 minutes. Trips that operate school days only are restored for the Fall. Other minor schedule changes.
51B	Restore service on weekdays to every 12 minutes, with minor schedule changes.
52	The first trip of the day leaves Bancroft Way & Telegraph Avenue at 9:14 am toward University Village. Other minor schedule changes.
54	Restore service on weekdays to every 15 minutes, with minor schedule changes.
57	Begin service 30 minutes earlier in the morning and end 45 minutes earlier in the evening, with minor schedule changes.
62	Restore service to every 19 minutes on weekdays, with minor schedule changes.
65	Suspension of weekend service.
67	Operate weekday service on the Beloit Avenue loop. Suspend weekend service, including service to Tilden Regional Park.
72, 72M	Restore service to every 30 minutes on lines 72 and 72M, with every 15 minutes between Oakland and El Cerrito del Norte BART. Restore trips that operate school days only for the Fall. Other minor schedule changes.
72R	Restore service to every 13 minutes on weekdays, with minor schedule changes.
76	Restore trips that operate school days only for the Fall.
79	Operate weekdays service every 34 minutes. Suspend weekend service.
80	Suspend service.
90	Restore service to every 20 minutes on weekdays, with minor schedule changes.
95	Restore trips that operate school days only for the Fall.

801	Change frequency and schedule to every 30 minutes between Fremont BART and San Leandro BART between midnight and 6:00 a.m. every day.
G	Restore two trips in the evening from San Francisco to El Cerrito, leaving the Salesforce Transit Center at 4:40 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. Service to San Francisco remains suspended in the morning.
J	Restore two trips in each direction. Morning trips leave Sacramento Avenue & University Avenue at 7:07 a.m. and 8:07 a.m. Afternoon trips leave San Francisco at 5:20 p.m. and 6:20 p.m.
L	Restore two trips in each direction. Morning trips leave Princeton Plaza at 6:48 a.m. and 7:42 a.m. Afternoon trips leave San Francisco at 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.
LA	Restore two trips in each direction. Morning trips leave Hilltop Park & Ride at 6:37 a.m. and 7:34 a.m. Afternoon trips leave San Francisco at 5:25 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.
NL	Restore service on weekdays to operate every 15 and 20 minutes.
NX	Operate two trips in the morning, leaving MacArthur Blvd. & 56th Avenue for San Francisco at 7:30 a.m. and 7:50 a.m.
NX1	Operate two trips in the evening, leaving San Francisco for Oakland at 4:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
NX2	Restore two trips in the evening from San Francisco to Oakland.
O	Increase frequency to every 30 minutes. Weekday service operates between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Weekend service operates between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
P	Operate two trips in the afternoon, leaving San Francisco for Piedmont at 4:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Morning service to San Francisco remains suspended.
U	Restore service.
V	Restore two trips in the afternoon from San Francisco to Oakland, leaving San Francisco at 4:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Morning service to San Francisco remains suspended.
W	Operate two trips in each direction. Morning trips leave Broadway and Blanding at 6:55 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. Afternoon trips leave San Francisco at 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Other	Minor schedule changes on lines 12, 20, 28, 36, 41, 60, 73, 93, 212, 232, 851, and F.

"Minor schedule changes" move bus trip lines earlier or later by a few minutes.

In addition, lines with trips that operate only on school days will have updated information on the AC Transit web site, actransit.org. These lines are: 33, 39, 51A, 72M, 76, 95, 97, 217, and 600 through 699.

New schedules and route maps are available at actransit.org. All lines have printable timetables available online, and new pocket timetables are available on board buses for local lines and Transbay lines F, NL, O, and 800.
