January 2017 Service Changes

Capital Metro routinely makes changes to streamline and improve service and accommodate ridership. The changes are designed to improve the rider experience while maintaining system efficiency and expanding service. In addition to the changes listed below, Capital Metro is reducing rates on MetroRapid and MetroFlyer services by eliminating the Premium fare category. Those changes take effect Jan. 8.

January 2017 Service Changes

Northwest Express Route Changes - Postponed

Due to delayed construction on the MoPac Express Lanes, approved changes to MetroExpress routes will not be implemented in January. To operate the routes reliably, Capital Metro needs the speed improvement and travel time savings offered by the full Express Lanes. As a result, we will defer the changes to Routes 982, 985 and 987; the creation of new routes 980 and 981; and the retirement of Route 983 until future service changes, which are scheduled for June and August 2017.

MINOR SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS

Capital Metro will implement minor schedule adjustments along the following routes in order to improve service and maintain reliability.

Route 2 Rosewood Minor weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule adjustments. 
Route 4 Montopolis Minor weekday schedule adjustments. 
Route 6 East 12th Minor weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule adjustments. 
Route 10 South 1st/Red River Minor weekday schedule adjustments. 
Route 17 Cesar Chavez Minor weekday schedule adjustments. 
Route 19 Bull Creek Minor weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule adjustments. 
Route 37 Colony Park/Windsor Park Minor weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule adjustments. 
Route 142 Metric Flyer Minor weekday schedule adjustments. 
Route 201 Southpark Meadows Minor weekday schedule adjustments. 
Route 300 Govalle Minor weekday schedule adjustments. 
Route 323 Anderson Minor weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule adjustments. 
Route 325 Ohlen Minor Sunday schedule adjustments. 
Route 338 Lamar/45th Minor weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule adjustments. 
Route 383 Research Minor Sunday schedule adjustments. 
Route 670 Crossing Place Minor weekday schedule adjustments. 
Route 671 North Riverside Minor weekday schedule adjustments. 
Route 672 Lakeshore Minor weekday schedule adjustments. 
Route 680 North Lakeshore/Riverside Minor Sunday schedule adjustments. 
Route 990 Manor/Elgin Express Departure at 6:45 a.m. from the Manor Park & Ride will shift 15 minutes earlier, to 6:30 a.m.

Route 111 South MoPac Flyer One additional morning and afternoon trip added to the schedule.

ROUTE CHANGES

Route 333 William Cannon

Route 333, which has been on a long-term detour at William Cannon and Pleasant Valley, will permanently terminate service at Onion Crossing Drive. Service to Onion Creek Drive will be discontinued due to low ridership. Stop ID 4356 and Stop ID 5821 will no longer be served.

Route 656 Intramural Fields

Route 656 will change routing in the Intramural Fields area to improve trip directness. The route will run west on 45th Street, turning north on Guadalupe. Stop ID 4515 on 46th Street at Guadalupe will no longer be served.
