Houston METRO 6-4-2017

METRO is implementing a series of route and schedule modifications that will take place on June 4, 2017. These changes will include route and schedule modifications to minimize overcrowding and improve on-time performance.

METRORail Red Line – 7 days/week – Reduce overall travel time from 55 to 52 minutes to make the schedule more reliable.

11 Almeda / Lyons – 7 days/week – Adjust southbound running times before 7:00 am between the Fifth Ward TC and Fannin and Franklin for more reliable service.

29 Cullen / Hirsch – 7 days/week – Adjust running time between timepoints to make the schedule more reliable.

30 Clinton / Ella – 7 days/week – Adjust running time between timepoints to make the schedule more reliable.

33 Post Oak – 7 days/week – Adjust running time between timepoints to make the schedule more reliable.

36 Kempwood – 7 days/week – Adjust running time between timepoints to make the schedule more reliable.

44 Acres Homes – weekdays – Extend all trips to start and end at Lone Star College University Park campus.

45 Tidwell – 7 days/week – Adjust running time between timepoints to make the schedule more reliable.

54 Scott – 7 days/week – Adjust running time between timepoints to make the schedule more reliable.

59 Aldine Mail – 7 days/week – Due to the creation of one-way streets, shift the eastbound route from portions of Aldine Mail to Hawkins between Airline and Lillja, making the current detour permanent.

68 Braeswood – 7 days/week – Extend trips that currently end at Elmsworth to Beechnut via S. Course, Spice, Wilcrest and Beechnut.

75 Eldridge

82 Westheimer – weekdays – Adjust running time between timepoints to make the schedule more reliable.

86 FM 1960 / Imperial Valley – weekdays – Add a 3:00 p.m. westbound trip to relieve overcrowding.

99 Ella - FM 1960 – weekdays – Add two northbound trips at 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and two southbound trips at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to relieve overcrowding and make the schedule more reliable.

151 Westpark Express – weekdays – Adjust eastbound morning running times for more reliable service.

222 Grand Parkway Park & Ride – weekdays – Add two AM trips and adjust frequencies after 6:55 a.m. to relieve overcrowding. Add two PM trips and adjust frequencies from 3:15 to 3:55 p.m. to relieve overcrowding. A 5:15 a.m. inbound trip was added and an inbound trip time was adjusted from 6:43 to 6:45 a.m., effective 2/27/17.

228 Addicks Park & Ride – weekdays – Add a 9:05 a.m. inbound trip to relieve overcrowding. Modify 5 a.m. outbound and 5 p.m. inbound trips to serve the Shell Woodcreek facility.

249 Monroe / Fuqua / Bay Area Park & Ride – weekdays – Adjust running time between timepoints to make the schedule more reliable.

265 West Bellfort Park & Ride – weekdays – Reassign two current reverse commute trips (8:38 a.m. outbound and 2:56 p.m. inbound) to Route 269 and adjust times to make the schedule more reliable.

269 West Bellfort / Westwood Park & Ride – weekdays – Adjust running time between timepoints to make the schedule more reliable.

297 South Point / Monroe / TMC Park & Ride – weekdays – Add a 3:18 p.m. outbound trip to relieve overcrowding.
