The Alaskan Way Viaduct is scheduled for permanent closure in late September or early October 2018. At the time of publication of this Rider Alert, all dates surrounding the Viaduct's closure, tunnel access ramp construction, and final tunnel opening were tentative and subject to change. As a result, because of the similar early publication date of Metro's printed timetables, and also because of space limitations within the affected timetables, Metro chose to display service effective with the Viaduct's closure, and not as service will continue to operate effective with Metro's service changes on Saturday, Sept. 22.

The reroutes (as shown in the affected timetables), once in effect, will remain in effect through approximately July 2019. Additional information will be provided on this website.

Although most bus stops will remain unchanged even after the reroutes are in effect, please watch for Rider Alerts in the event that some stops do change. Service delays can also be expected.
