Metro Transit (Minnesota) 12-4-2021
On Dec. 4, Metro Transit is making changes to transit service within your community. As we do each quarter, we review and analyze our resources and ridership trends. Metro Transit continues to face unprecedented driver shortages, resulting in cancelled trips that inconvenience transit customers.
These service adjustments to bus routes continue our ongoing work to best serve customers throughout our system with our given resources. Changes scheduled to take place on Dec. 4 are expected to increase the reliability of our scheduled service by altering service using these criteria:
- Equity " Evaluate service changes and reductions with an eye towards reducing impact on communities of color and low income
- Alternate service " Identify service where customers have an alternative (route, frequency or auto)
- Minimize ridership impact
- Preserve frequent transit service (every 10-15 minutes)
