Metro Transit (Minnesota) 6-17-2017

These routes changed on June 17

Effective Saturday, June 17, changes were made to routes operated by Metro Transit & Maple Grove Transit.

Below is an overview of the changes.

Updated printed schedules are available on buses and trains and at Metro Transit Service Centers.

BLUE LINE

  • Southbound weekday trip leaving Franklin Ave. station at 6:03 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Northbound weekday trip leaving Mall of America station at 7:53 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Southbound weekend trip leaving Franklin Ave. station at 8:59 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Northbound weekend trip leaving Mall of America station at 7:24 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted.

RED LINE (effective 5/20/17)

  • Schedule times will be adjusted to reflect new Cedar Grove Transit Station location.
  • New southbound weekday trip leaving Mall of America at 4:05 a.m. will be added.
  • New southbound weekend trips leaving Mall of America at 4:09 and 5:09 a.m. will be added.

ROUTE 3

  • Westbound trip leaving Como Ave. & Cleveland Ave. at 7:12 a.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 5

  • Southbound trip leaving Brooklyn Center Transit Center at 4:58 a.m. will now leave at 4:55 a.m.

ROUTE 7

  • New stop at 34th Ave. & 58th St. goes into operation.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted to improve Blue Line connections.
  • Northbound trip departing Hwy 62 and 34th Ave at 5:53 a.m. will now leave at 5:49 a.m.

ROUTE 12

  • Weekday rush hour-only route serving downtown Minneapolis, Uptown, Excelsior Blvd, St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka. Daily non-rush hour service renumbered and provided by new Route 612.
  • Eastbound and westbound trips will stop at Uptown Transit Center on Hennepin Ave: Gate B to downtown, Gate A to suburbs.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 21

  • Schedule times will be adjusted to better match travel times

ROUTE 54

  • Existing transit center at MSP Lindbergh Terminal #1 closes and a new temporary bus stop is established on the upper roadway near the passenger terminal due to the reconstruction of the transit center.

ROUTE 250

  • Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 365 (The planned change is canceled. All current trips to Lower Afton Rd. Park & Ride will remain.)

  • Northbound trips now stopping at Lower Afton Rd. Park & Ride at 7:38 and 7:48 a.m. will no longer serve this stop. This change is to better manage parking demand and vehicle overflow at this location.
  • Alternative park and ride locations with service to downtown Minneapolis include Cottage Grove (Route 365), Guardian Angels Church in Oakdale (Route 375) or Woodbury Theater in Woodbury (Route 355).

ROUTE 542 (effective 12/17/16)

  • Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 612

  • New route replacing Route 12 during all nonrush hour times daily.
  • Westbound trips will stop in the Uptown Transit Center at Gate C.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 761

  • Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 765

  • Southbound trip leaving Target North Campus at 5:39 p.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 801

  • Westbound trip leaving Rosedale Transit Center at 6:40 a.m. will now leave at 6:30 a.m.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted.

Maple Grove Transit

ROUTE 780

  • Schedule times for all southbound trips will be adjusted 5 minutes earlier for I-94 construction.

ROUTE 781

  • New southbound trip will leave Maple Grove Transit Center at 5:05 a.m.
  • New northbound trips will leave 2nd Ave. & 10th St. at 1:16 and 2:45 p.m.
  • Schedule times for all southbound trips will be adjusted 5 minutes earlier for I-94 construction.

ROUTE 782

  • Schedule times for all southbound trips will be adjusted 5 minutes earlier for I-94 construction.

ROUTE 783

  • Schedule times for all southbound trips will be adjusted 5 minutes earlier for I-94 construction.

ROUTE 785

  • New southbound trip will leave Parkway Station at 5:00 a.m.
  • New northbound trip will leave 2nd Ave. & 10th St. at 2:43 p.m.
  • Schedule times for all southbound trips will be adjusted 5 minutes earlier for I-94 construction.

ROUTE 788

  • Schedule times for all trips will be adjusted.
