Metro Transit (Minnesota) 6-8-2019

Routes will change on June 8

Effective Saturday, June 8, changes will be made to routes operated by Metro Transit & Maple Grove Transit.

Below is an overview of the changes.

Updated printed schedules will be available on buses and trains and at Metro Transit stores and outlets starting June 1.

C Line

  • New service begins along the Route 19 corridor!

ROUTE 4

  • Schedule will reflect the move from Hennepin Ave. to Nicollet Mall for the Hennepin Ave. reconstruction project. (Eff. 4/15)
  • Southbound trip currently starting at 1st St. & Marquette at 8:08 p.m. will be extended to start at Silver Lake Village at 7:45 p.m.

ROUTE 5

  • Route will receive new gate letter (Gate E) at Brooklyn Center Transit Center

ROUTE 6

  • Schedule will reflect the move from Hennepin Ave. to Nicollet Mall for the Hennepin Ave. reconstruction project. (Eff. 4/15)

ROUTE 9

  • Saturday evening service will be consolidated and no longer serve Hennepin due to reconstruction project.
  • Schedule times during the week will be adjusted as well.

ROUTE 10

  • Northbound schedule times on weekdays and Saturdays will be adjusted to better reflect travel times through Nicollet Mall.

ROUTE 11

  • Two southbound morning trips extended to serve Washburn High School start times.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted to better reflect travel times.

ROUTE 12

  • Schedule will reflect the move from Hennepin Ave. to Nicollet Mall for the Hennepin Ave. reconstruction project. (Eff. 4/15)

ROUTE 18

  • Select rush hour trips serving Grand Avenue will be rerouted to serve Nicollet Avenue. Alternative service is available on Route 135.
  • Select rush hour trips south of 66th St. will be shortened and will connect to Route 554 for alternative service.

ROUTE 19

  • Schedule times and frequency will be adjusted due to launch of new METRO C Line.
  • H and Y branches will be eliminated. Alternate service available on new A branch (Thomas Ave) during peak periods.
  • Route will move to a new gate (Gate J) at Brooklyn Center Transit Center.
  • The 7th St. stop at Nicollet will move from midblock between Marquette and Nicollet to just west of Nicollet.

ROUTE 25

  • Northbound schedule times will be adjusted to better reflect travel times through Nicollet Mall during Hennepin reconstruction project.

ROUTE 59

  • Northbound schedule times will be adjusted to better reflect travel times through Nicollet Mall.

ROUTE 61

  • Schedule will reflect the move from Hennepin Ave. to Nicollet Mall for the Hennepin Ave. reconstruction project. (Eff. 4/15)
  • Westbound weekday midday times will shift 11 to 13 minutes earlier.
  • The second eastbound weekday trip will start earlier for better transfer connections.

ROUTE 84

  • The north terminal and timepoint will be relocated from Pascal & Almond to Como & Pascal.
  • The north terminal loop will be reversed to operate clock-wise.
  • Schedule times will NOT change.

ROUTE 133

  • Northbound trip leaving 1000 46th St. E at 5:49 a.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.
  • Southbound trip leaving Gateway Ramp at 3:07 p.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.
  • Southbound trip leaving Gateway Ramp at 6:08 p.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.

ROUTE 141

  • Schedule will reflect the move from Hennepin Ave. to Nicollet Mall for the Hennepin Ave. reconstruction project. (Eff. 4/15)

ROUTE 146

  • Northbound trip leaving Vernon & Eden Ave. at 5:46 a.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.
  • Southbound trip leaving 1st St. & 3rd Ave at 6:05 p.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.

ROUTE 156

  • Northbound trip leaving Lyndale Ave. & 56th St. at 5:38 a.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 351

  • Westbound trip leaving Woodbury Lutheran at 7:28 a.m. will leave 10 minutes earlier at 7:18. There will be two trips leaving at this time.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 361

  • Schedule times will be adjusted.
  • All northbound trips will extend to Smith Ave. Ramp.

ROUTE 364

  • Schedule times will be adjusted to reflect actual travel times.
  • All northbound trips will extend to Smith Ave. Ramp.

ROUTE 535

  • Weekend service will be eliminated due to low ridership.
  • Weekday morning peak service will be reduced to every 15 minutes northbound before 7:20 a.m. at Knox Ave Park & Ride.
  • Two morning rush hour trips will be extended to start at South Bloomington Transit Center.
  • One evening rush hour trip will be extended to the South Bloomington Transit Center.

ROUTE 552/553

  • Northbound Route 552 trip leaving Old Shakopee Rd. & 10th Ave. at 5:41 a.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.
  • Southbound Route 552 trip leaving DeLaSalle High School at 3:07 p.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.
  • Northbound Route 553 trip leaving Old Shakopee Rd & 10th Ave. at 5:43 a.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.
  • Southbound Route 553 trip leaving DeLaSalle High School at 6:05 p.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 554

  • Southbound trip leaving Marquette & 8th St. at 6:12 p.m. will now leave at 6:20 p.m.

ROUTE 558

  • Northbound trip leaving 70th St. & Nicollet Ave. at 5:32 a.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.
  • Southbound trips leaving 2nd St. S & 3rd Ave. S at 3:10 p.m. and 6:07 p.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.
  • Route will move from 77th St. to Penn Ave. and 84th St. in Bloomington.
  • Route branch on 70th St. to Lyndale to 77th St. to 76th St. will be eliminated due to low ridership. Alternative service is available on routes 4 and 535.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 578

  • Northbound trip leaving Southdale at 5:53 a.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.
  • Southbound trip leaving at Marquette & 8th St. at 5:12 p.m. will now leave at 5:07 p.m.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTES 643/663

  • Schedule will reflect the move off of Hennepin Ave. for the Hennepin Ave. reconstruction project. (Eff. 4/15)
  • Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTES 721/722/723

  • Route 721 will receive new gate letter (Gate F) at Brooklyn Center Transit Center.
  • Route 722 will move to new gate (Gate A) at Brooklyn Center Transit Center.
  • Route 723 will move to new gate (Gate A) at Brooklyn Center Transit Center.

ROUTE 764

  • Schedule times will be adjusted to better reflect actual travel times.

ROUTE 766/768

  • Schedule times will be adjusted to better reflect actual travel times.

ROUTE 801

  • Route will move to new gate (Gate C) at Brooklyn Center Transit Center.

ROUTE 852

  • Saturday schedule times will be changed. Service will operate every 70 to 75 minutes. The last trips will provide service 20 to 30 minutes later than current schedule.

Maple Grove Transit

ROUTE 785

  • New northbound trip leaving 2nd Ave. & 10th St. at 2:53 p.m. will begin.
  • Schedule time will be adjusted.
