Routes will change Aug. 17
Metro Transit is making its quarterly schedule adjustments in August.
About one percent of Metro Transit's trips are affected due to driver shortages, ridership on particular trips or other factors.
Changes begin Saturday, Aug. 17. Below is an overview of the changes.
You can review schedules at metrotransit.org for the routes listed here starting Saturday, Aug. 3. Updated printed schedules will be available on buses and trains and at Metro Transit stores and outlets starting Aug.10.

- Four daily weekday trips between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. will be replaced with Green Line buses.
- Schedule times will be adjusted.
ROUTE 2
- New morning trip added to accommodate U of MN ridership demand.
- Westbound 3A trip leaving Union Depot at 6:33 a.m. will be eliminated.
- Additional westbound morning trips added for U of MN ridership demand from Eustis St. to Willey Hall.
- Schedule times will be adjusted.
- Southbound trip leaving 1st Ave & Old Hwy. 8 at 4:08 p.m. will be eliminated.
- Schedule will reflect the move to 6th St. from 7th. St.
- Schedule will be adjusted to reflect new Mall of America Station location.
- Northbound 5M trips leaving Chicago & 56th St. at 6:28 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. will be eliminated.
- Northbound 5M trip leaving Mall of America Transit Station at 7:44 a.m. will be eliminated.
- Southbound trips leaving Brooklyn Center Transit Center at 6:00 (5E) and 7:45 a.m. (5A) will be eliminated.
- Northbound trips leaving Southdale Transit Center at 7:16 and 7:56 a.m. and 5:21 p.m. (6U) will be eliminated.
- Northbound 6U trip leaving Hennepin Ave. & 36th St. at 7:57 a.m. will be eliminated.
- Southbound 6G trips leaving 1st. Ave & 1st. St. at 4:20 and 5:26 p.m. will be eliminated.
- Northbound trip leaving Nicollet Ave. & 66th St. at 6:03 a.m. will be eliminated.
- Northbound trip leaving 2nd Ave. & American Blvd. at 3:09 p.m. will be eliminated.
- Northbound trip leaving 104th St. & Bloomington Freeway W. at 6:15 p.m. will be eliminated.
- Southbound trips leaving 4th Ave. & 3rd St. at 6:54 a.m. (18E) and 4:28 p.m. (18C) will be eliminated.
- Schedule times will be adjusted midday on weekdays.
- Some trips extended to Summit & Finn on weekdays and Saturdays.
- Eastbound 21A trips leaving Uptown Transit Station at 7:45 a.m. and 2:22 p.m. will be eliminated.
- Westbound trips leaving Union Depot at 6:21 a.m. and 4:11 p.m. will be eliminated.
- Westbound trip leaving Transit Way & 27th at 3:23 p.m. will be eliminated.
- Northbound 22C trip leaving VA Medical Center at 7:55 a.m. will be eliminated.
- Southbound 22H trip leaving Humboldt & 69th Ave. at 6:05 a.m. will be eliminated.
- Schedule times will be adjusted during the PM rush hour to account for continued delays resulting from I-35W construction.
- Eastbound trip leaving Uptown Transit Station at 6:30 a.m. will be eliminated.
- Eastbound 54M trips leaving Mall of America at 5:40 and 6:56 a.m. will be eliminated.
- Westbound trips leaving Maplewood Mall at 6:58 and 8:23 a.m. will be eliminated.
- Northbound 59T trips leaving Leamington Ramp at 3:11 and 4:26 p.m. will be eliminated.
- Select trips will be extended for earlier morning service to Maplewood Mall and North St. Paul on weekends, plus a later weekday trip from Maplewood Mall leaving at 12:21 a.m.
- Several westbound early morning trip times will change on weekdays and Sundays to improve transfer connections.
- Westbound Sunday trip that currently starts at 6:36 a.m. will move to Hillcrest.
- New eastbound Sunday 64H trip will be added leaving 5th & Minnesota at 1:20 a.m.
- Eastbound 64D trip leaving Smith Ave. Ramp & 5th St. at 7:59 a.m. will be eliminated.
- Westbound trips leaving Maplewood Mall Transit Center at 6:50 a.m. and 2:26 p.m. will be eliminated.
- Schedule times will be adjusted.
Weekday
- New southbound 68D trip leaving Jackson & 14th at 4:59 a.m. will be added.
- New southbound 68D trip leaving Camelot St. & California Ave at 5:15 am. will be added.
- Southbound 68D trip currently leaving Camelot St. & California Ave at 5:22 am. will now leave Jackson & 14th St at 5:51 a.m.
- Schedule times will be adjusted.
- Northbound 68M trip leaving Inver Hills Community College at 6:54 will be eliminated.
Saturday
- New northbound trips leaving 5th Ave. & South St. at 4:25 and 5:25 a.m. will be added.
- New southbound 68E trip leaving Jackson & 14th St. at 4:59 a.m. will be added.
- Southbound 68D trip currently leaving Camelot St. & California Ave at 5:47 am. will now leave Jackson & 14th St at 5:57 a.m.
