Metro Transit (Minnesota) 8-21-2021

To respond to changes in travel demand due to the anticipated -return-to-office- for some this fall, Metro Transit will continue to refine its service schedule with quarterly service changes starting on Saturday, Aug. 21. We are adding and restoring service and trips to some routes where ridership demand is expected to increase and keeping some service suspended. We are focusing our resources in areas where they are most needed to provide critical travel during this ongoing period of transition.Routes with no changes will link to current schedule. Preview of updated schedules will be available here on July 23.

As the pandemic continues, remember:

- Face coverings are still required by federal mandate on public transit. - Transit Information is available by phone (612-373-3333) and text (612-444-1161) Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and at Service Centers in downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis - hours and locations here. ROUTE 2

  • Trips return to U of MN to coincide with fall semester.

ROUTE 3

  • New routing on Washington Ave. through downtown Minneapolis.
  • Route extended to Minneapolis North Loop neighborhood.
  • Elm/Kasota -K- branch will be removed and served by new Route 33.
  • The number of Saturday trips in St. Paul on the -A- and -B- branches will increase.
  • 3U and 3E trips return to U of MN to coincide with fall semester.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted for all days of the week to better reflect new routing and bus stop consolidation.

  • -G- branch north of Silver Lake Village will be eliminated and served by new Route 804.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted for all days of the week to better reflect new routing.

  • Northbound afternoon trips adjusted to coincide with Heritage STEM Academy dismissal times.

  • Southbound morning extra trips will be adjusted to coincide with Southwest High School arrival times.
