Detours were removed on 24, 30

SERVICE ADJUSTMENTS

  • Route 20 has been eliminated. Alternate routes are 37, 143 and La Habra Shuttle 103B.
  • Route 26

Eastern end is discontinued at Yorba Linda & Rose in Placentia. Peak frequency is improved to 15 minutes between Fullerton Park and Ride and Cal State Fullerton and to 30 minutes east of State College. Weekend frequency is improved to 40 minutes.

  • Route 37

Now serves all trips on the existing 37A loop and ends at Newhope & Southpark. North loop is extended to Whittier, Harbor, Lambert and end at Cypress. Northbound trips travel clockwise on the north end loop and southbound trips travel counterclockwise. Weekday peak frequency is improved to 15 minutes and off-peak to 30 minutes. Saturday frequency is reduced to 45-65 minutes Sunday frequency is reduced to 65-70 minutes.

  • Route 47

Southern end has been extended to Balboa, providing hourly service to Ocean Front & Palm. Weekdays peak frequency is reduced to 15 minutes Weekend frequency is reduced to 30-45 minutes.

  • Route 64X has added stops at Maple, Center and Newhope.
  • Route 71

Southern end has been discontinued south of Triangle Square; route now ends at Hoag Hospital. Alternate is Route 47. Weekdays peak frequency is improved to 30 minutes.

  • Route 72

Eastern end is extended to Tustin Ranch Rd. Weekdays frequency is improved to 30 minutes. Weekends reduce midday frequency to 65 minutes.

  • Route 79

Northern end discontinues Northwood loop and ends at Larwin Square. Weekdays midday frequency is improved to 30 minutes and late evening to 45 minutes.

  • Route 82

Discontinue alignment south of Santa Margarita at Antonio due to low ridership. Alternate is Mission Viejo Circular. Discontinue Saturday service.

  • Route 85

Discontinue alignment south of Alicia Parkway due to low ridership. Reduce frequency to 60 minutes. Discontinue Saturday service.

  • Route 87

Will no longer provide Saturday service.

  • Route 167

Realign route to cover sections of Irvine Blvd that are no longer served by Routes 79 and 175. Northern end is discontinued at Jefferson & Tustin. Southern end is extended south to UC Irvine. Discontinue weekend service.

  • Route 175 has been eliminated. Alternate routes are 79 and 167.
  • Route 187 has been eliminated. Alternate routes are 89 and 90.
  • Route 188/A has been eliminated. Alternate routes are 86 and 90.
  • Route 191/A has been eliminated. Alternate routes are 1 and 91.
  • Route 193 has been eliminated.
  • Route 206: Realign route to Civic Center Dr. in Santa Ana and streamline route in Irvine and Foothill Ranch.
  • Route 211

Discontinue alignment east of Irvine Metrolink Station and west of Goldenwest Transportation Center.

Span is expanded until 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.

  • Route 463 Realign route to cover area of discontinued Route 464.
  • Route 701 streamlines routing in Downtown Los Angeles, discontinuing service on 5th, 6th and 8th St.
  • Route 721 streamlines routing in Downtown Los Angeles, discontinuing service on 5th, 6th and 8th St.
  • Route 757 has been eliminated.
  • Route 758 has been eliminated.

New Community Shuttles Funded Through Measure M OCTA has been working with the cities to develop new transportation services to replace and supplement routes that have been discontinued and changed. Made possible through a Measure M-funded program that helps cities develop solutions that complement regional bus and rail services to meet needs in areas not served by regional transit, the new services will help residents adapt to the changing bus system and provide alternate ways to get around Orange County. Measure M is Orange County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements.

  • Mission Viejo Circulator

Beginning October 10, the Mission Viejo Circulator will operate in a loop from the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Metrolink Station to the Murray Community Center, stopping at schools, shops, and businesses. Service will operate Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on non-school days) with departures every 45 minutes.

  • San Clemente Rideshare Service

Tentatively scheduled to begin in October, the San Clemente Rideshare Service will be available along routes formerly served by discontinued OC Bus Routes 191 and 193. Service will be provided weekdays and weekends from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, click here.

  • Westminster Little Saigon Circulator

Beginning October 31, the Westminster Little Saigon Circulator will travel in a loop around Magnolia Street, Bolsa Avenue, Brookhurst Street, and Bishop Place stopping every 15 minutes at local schools, stores, businesses, and restaurants. The free service will run weekdays and weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
