Bus Service Change Improvements
Effective February 9, 2020
The Bus Service Change Improvements provides a summary of the upcoming service improvements to OC Bus. This service change will provide minor schedule changes to several routes, deletion of Routes 21 and 24 and the launch of new Route 123.
Schedule Adjustments: 25, 37, 38, 42, 43, 47, 54, 56, 57, 59, 70, 72, 83, 143, 177, 206, 213,400, 401, 403, 404, 862
New Routes: 123
Discontinued Routes: 21, 24
Bus News
New Route 123 Launches
Beginning February 9, 2020, Route 123 will begin serve between Anahiem and Huntington Beach. Route 123 replaces portions of discontinued routes 21 and 24 providing service to various colleges as well as bus and rail stations.
Routes 21 and 24:
All Days: Delete Routes 21 and 24 and replace with new Route 123.
Route 25:
Weekdays: Adjust NB 4:45 am trip to 4:40 am to improve connection with Route 721 departing Fullerton Park and Ride at 5:55 am.
Weekends: Adjust frequency from 70 to 65 minutes.
Route 37:
Weekdays: NB 5:37 pm trip will be adjusted to 5:32 pm
Route 38:
Weekdays: Adjust frequency from 40 to 30 minutes in the PM.
Route 43:
Weekdays: NB 10:32 pm trip will be adjusted to 10:29 pm
Route 54:
Weekdays: Start all trips at Chapman and Valley View.
Route 55:
Weekends: Adjust frequency from 70/90 to 45 minutes.
Route 57 and 57X:
Weekdays: Adjust frequency from 12 to 13 minutes.
Weekends: Adjust frequency from 15/30 to 16/32 minutes.
Route 72:
Weekdays: Adjust PM frequency from 30 to 35 minutes.
Weekends: Adjust frequency from 65 to 45 minutes.
Route 83:
Weekdays: SB 5:05 pm school tripper will be adjusted to 4:51 pm to accommodate OC School of the Arts dismissal time.
NEW Route 123:
Weekdays: Implement new weekday route replacing Routes 21 and 24 providing service between Anaheim and Huntington Beach with 65 minute frequency.
Route 143:
Weekdays: Adjust frequency from 75 to 60 minutes. Adjust first and last EB trip frequency to 60 minutes.
Route 177:
Weekdays: Adjust last pm trip frequency from 45 minutes to 60 minutes.
iShuttle Route 400A:
Weekdays: NB afternoon trips have been adjusted.
iShuttle Route 403D:
Weekdays: EB 5:17 pm trip will be adjusted to 5:30 pm to improve connection with Metrolink train #643 departing Irvine Station at 6:00 pm.
iShuttle Route 404E:
Weekdays: Eliminate all northbound morning trips and southbound afternoon trips.
