Riverside Transit Agency 5-14-2017

On May 14, 2017, the Riverside Transit Agency (RTA) will introduce minor schedule and route changes to improve service reliability, on-time performance and connections. ROUTE 1

Will have minor changes to weekday and weekend schedules to improve reliability and connections with other routes. To improve boarding efficiency at the Corona Transit Center, Route 1 westbound will move to Bay 7, and Route 1 eastbound will move to Bay 8.

ROUTE 10

Will have minor changes to some weekday afternoon trips to accommodate the school bell times at Arlington High School.

ROUTE 11

The clockwise loop will be adjusted to depart Moreno Valley Mall at 8:44 p.m. instead of 8:39 p.m. to better connect with Route 16.

ROUTE 12

The timepoint at La Sierra/Hole and Hole/Wells will change to Pierce and La Sierra due to the new westbound bus stop opening at that location. The change will apply to both directions.

ROUTE 13

The last eastbound weekday and weekend trips will end at Market Street and University Avenue (instead of Market and 10th) to allow for improved connections with other routes. Also, the 6:27 a.m. weekday westbound trip from Hunter Park Metrolink Station will depart four minutes earlier at 6:23 a.m. to improve on-time performance.

ROUTE 14

The last eastbound weekday and weekend trips will terminate at Market Street and University Avenue (instead of University and Brockton avenues) to allow for improved connections with other routes.

ROUTE 15

Weekday eastbound trips serving La Sierra Metrolink Station will be altered to improve connections with Metrolink trains. Selected Saturday trip times will be adjusted slightly to improve on-time performance.

ROUTE 16

Schedules will be adjusted slightly to improve reliability and connections with Route 1 at UC Riverside and Route 19 at the Moreno Valley Mall.

ROUTE 19

Schedules will be adjusted to improve on-time performance.

ROUTE 20

Schedules will be adjusted to improve on-time performance. The schedules reflect the new end-of-the-line timepoint at Iris and Lasselle. School-only trips will continue to use the end-of-the-line timepoint at Iris and Peninsula.

ROUTE 21

Schedules will be adjusted to improve on-time performance.

ROUTE 22

Schedules will be adjusted to improve on-time performance.

ROUTE 26

The west loop schedule will serve a new timepoint on Mission Grove Parkway at the Social Security Office.

ROUTE 31

A new timepoint will be added at Beaumont Walmart. The change means RTA buses will serve the Beaumont Walmart stop once, rather than twice, in each direction. Selected weekday trips will be adjusted to improve connections with other routes at the Hemet Valley Mall.

ROUTE 33

The 6:39 a.m. eastbound weekday trip departing the Hemet Valley Mall will leave at 6:34 a.m. to improve connections with other routes.

ROUTE 41

Weekday trips will be adjusted to improve connections with other routes and to better meet school bell times at Rancho Verde High School.

ROUTE 52

Schedule will be adjusted to improve on-time performance.

ROUTE 61

Schedules will be adjusted to improve on-time performance.

ROUTE 79

The weekday northbound trip departing County Center timepoint at 7:12 a.m. will leave at 7:09 a.m. to improve connections with Route 31 at the Hemet Valley Mall.

ROUTE 202

Weekday trips will be adjusted for improved connections and on-time performance. The Beach Bus will provide extended weekday and weekend service between Murrieta and Oceanside from June 12 to August 26.

ROUTE 204

Will service the stops on University Avenue at Lemon Street in downtown Riverside to improve connections with other routes.

ROUTE 206

The 3:59 a.m. northbound trip departing the Temecula Promenade Mall will leave at 3:56 a.m. to improve connections with Metrolink trains at the North Main Corona Station. To improve boarding efficiency at the Corona Transit Center, Route 206 will use Bay 2.

ROUTE 208, 210, 212, 216

Will be adjusted in downtown Riverside using portions of Lemon Street and Mission Inn Avenue to serve the stop on Lemon Street at University Avenue to improve connections with other routes. Minor schedule changes have been made to Routes 208, 210 and 212 to reflect this route change.

ROUTE 217

The weekday southbound trip departing Mt. San Jacinto College at 4:23 a.m. will be adjusted to leave at 4:13 a.m. Also, the weekday northbound trip departing the Escondido Transit Center at 6 p.m. will leave instead at 6:05 p.m. to improve connections with MTS buses at the Escondido Transit Center.

LOOKING AHEAD TO THE NEXT SERVICE CHANGE

In an effort to better match our schedules with returning schools and community colleges, RTA’s next service change will occur on Sunday, August 27, approximately two weeks earlier than normal.
