Riverside Transit Agency 9-8-2019

On September 8, the Riverside Transit Agency will make several schedule and route changes to boost performance, enhance connections and expand service into new areas.

AFFECTED ROUTES: 1, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19,19F, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 40, 41, 49,51, 52, 54, 55, 61, 74, 79, 202, 204, 206, 208, 210, and 217.

ROUTE 1: Service frequency has been increased from 30 minutes to every 15 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

ROUTE 3: Due to low ridership, the following trips have been discontinued: the 5:22 a.m. and 9:02 p.m. weekday northbound trips departing the Corona Transit Center, the 4:58 a.m. weekday southbound trip departing from Limonite and Hamner, and the 8:30 p.m. and 9:21 p.m. weekday southbound trips departing Amazon in Eastvale.

ROUTE 8: Due to low ridership, the following trips have been discontinued: the 4:28 a.m. and 7:48 p.m. counterclockwise weekday trips and the 4:37 a.m. and 7:48 p.m. clockwise weekday trips departing Lake Elsinore Outlet Center, as well as the 6:46 p.m. clockwise weekend trip departing the Lake Elsinore Outlet Center.

ROUTE 9: Due to low ridership, the following trips have been discontinued: the 3:52 a.m. and 4:49 a.m. weekday northbound trips departing the Lake Elsinore Outlet Center, the 3:49 p.m., 6:18 p.m. and 7:16 p.m. weekday southbound trips departing Perris Station Transit Center, the 6:17 a.m. weekend northbound trip departing the Lake Elsinore Outlet Center, and the 7:14 p.m. weekend southbound trip departing Perris Station Transit Center.

ROUTE 10: Due to low ridership, the 7:44 p.m. weekday westbound trip departing Big Springs & Watkins and the 7:57 p.m. weekday eastbound trip departing Galleria at Tyler have been discontinued.

ROUTE 11: The 8:53 p.m. weekday clockwise, 8:42 p.m. weekday and 7:45 p.m. Saturday counter-clockwise trips departing Moreno Valley Mall have been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 12: This route no longer ends at Merced and Magnolia avenues. It has been expanded to serve Corona Hills, using portions of Riverwalk Parkway, Collett and Promenade avenues. Weekday service frequency has been improved to every 50 to 55 minutes.

ROUTE 13: Weekday service frequency has been improved to every 50 minutes. The 4:01 a.m. and 8:12 p.m. weekday eastbound trips departing Galleria at Tyler have been discontinued due to low ridership. Route now uses Bay F at Galleria at Tyler.

ROUTE 14: Weekday service frequency has been improved to every 50 to 60 minutes. The 7:08 p.m. weekday eastbound trip departing Galleria at Tyler and the 7:04 a.m. Saturday eastbound trip departing University and Brockton have been discontinued due to low ridership. Route now uses Bay C at Galleria at Tyler.

ROUTE 15: The 5:03 a.m. weekday eastbound trip departing Merced and Magnolia, and the 4:59 a.m. weekday westbound trip departing the Riverside-Downtown Metrolink Station have been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 16: The following weekday trips have been discontinued due to low ridership: the 4:34 a.m., 6:06 a.m., 7:21 p.m., 7:50 p.m. and 10:37 p.m. eastbound trips departing UCR at Bannockburn, as well as the 3:51 a.m., 5:07 p.m. and 6:29 p.m. westbound trips departing the Moreno Valley Mall. The following Saturday trips have been discontinued: the 8:25 a.m. eastbound trip departing UCR at Bannockburn and the 6:05 a.m. and 7:37 a.m. westbound trips departing the Moreno Valley Mall. On Sundays, the 7:05 p.m. eastbound trip departing UCR at Bannockburn and the 6:50 a.m. and 7:49 a.m. westbound trips departing the Moreno Valley Mall have been discontinued.

ROUTE 18: The 7:20 p.m. weekend southbound trip departing the Moreno Valley Mall has been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 19: To better serve customers working on weekends in Perris and Moreno Valley, a new northbound trip has been added on Saturdays, departing the Perris Station Transit Center at 5:12 a.m., and a new southbound trip departs the Moreno Valley Mall at 10:39 p.m. On Sundays, new northbound trips depart the Perris Station Transit Center at 5:12 a.m., 8:07 p.m. and 9:07 p.m. while new southbound trips depart the Moreno Valley Mall at 9:19 p.m. and 10:39 p.m. The following weekday trips have been discontinued due to low ridership: the 3:35 a.m., 5:11 a.m., 3:32 p.m., 6:47 p.m., and 8:43 p.m. northbound trips departing the Perris Station Transit Center and the 5:29 a.m., 5:14 p.m., 7:13 p.m. and 8:07 p.m. southbound trips departing the Moreno Valley Mall. On Saturdays, the 6:24 a.m. northbound trip departing the Perris Station Transit Center has been discontinued.

ROUTE 19F: This service between the Perris Station Transit Center and Perris Fairgrounds will operate daily during the Southern California Fair week (Saturday, October 5 through Sunday, October 13).

ROUTE 20: The following weekday trips have been discontinued due to low ridership: the 4:18 a.m. and 8:46 p.m. eastbound trips departing Magnolia and Elizabeth, and the 3:42 a.m., 7:18 p.m. and 10:08 p.m. westbound trips departing Iris and Lasselle. Other weekday trips have been adjusted to accommodate the discontinued trips and to improve reliability and connections with the revised Perris Valley Line train times at Moreno Valley/March Field Metrolink Station.

ROUTE 21: The 7:04 p.m. weekday southbound trip departing Banana and Cherry has been discontinued due to low ridership. Other weekday trips have been adjusted to improve reliability. Route will board at Bay B at the Galleria at Tyler.

ROUTE 22: Weekday mid-day service has been improved to every 45 to 50 minutes. The 4:37 a.m. and 5:40 p.m. weekday southbound trips departing University and Brockton have been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 23: Route 23 now ends at the Promenade Temecula Mobility Hub instead of County Center. The 6:06 a.m. weekday northbound trip departing County Center has been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 24: Route 24 now ends at the Promenade Temecula Mobility Hub instead of County Center. The 5:17 a.m. weekday southbound trip departing County Center and the 5:19 a.m. weekday northbound trip departing the Temecula Valley Hospital have been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 26: Service frequency between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. has been adjusted to approximately every 80 to 90 minutes.

ROUTE 27: The 4:40 a.m. and 7:38 a.m. weekday northbound trips departing the Perris Station Transit Center and the 5:36 a.m. weekday southbound trip departing Galleria at Tyler have been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 28: To better serve customers working in Perris and Moreno Valley, a new eastbound trip runs daily at 1:37 p.m. from the Perris Station Transit Center to Hemet, ending at Florida Avenue and State Street. On weekends, a new westbound trip departs the Hemet Valley Mall at 4:30 a.m. The 5:22 a.m. weekday westbound trip departing Lincoln and Florida and the weekend westbound trip departing Hemet Valley Mall at 5:36 a.m. have been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 29: The 4:15 a.m. and 9:01 p.m. weekday eastbound trips departing Amazon in Eastvale, the 9:12 p.m. weekday westbound trip departing Riverside-Downtown Metrolink Station (Vine St.) and the 8:12 p.m. weekend eastbound trip departing Amazon have been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 30: Due to rising demand, a new east loop weekday trip departs Orange Vista High School at 3:06 p.m. during school days only, serving May Ranch and the Perris Station Transit Center. The east loop has been altered to travel along portions of Dunlap Drive and Nuevo and Evans roads with additional bus stops in this area. On weekdays, the 5:28 a.m. and 6:25 p.m. west loop trips departing Perris Station Transit Center, and the 5:15 a.m. east loop trip departing the Perris Station Transit Center have been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 31: Service frequency is approximately every 60 minutes on weekdays (improved from every 70 to 75 minutes) and approximately every 70 minutes on weekends (improved from every 90 minutes). The 7:52 p.m. weekday northbound trip from Hemet Valley Mall to Beaumont Walmart has been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 32: The 7:40 p.m. southbound trip departing Mt. San Jacinto College has been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 33: The 5:52 a.m. and 6:19 p.m. weekday westbound trips departing Stanford and Stetson have been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 40: The 5:28 a.m. and 6:46 p.m. weekday eastbound trips departing Lake Elsinore Walmart and the 5:30 a.m. and 6:46 p.m. weekday westbound trips departing Cherry Hills & Bradley have been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 41: The 5:56 a.m. and 6:12 p.m. weekday westbound trips departing Riverside University Medical Center have been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 49: The following trips have been discontinued due to low ridership: the 4:20 a.m. and 8:34 p.m. weekday westbound trips departing the Riverside-Downtown Metrolink Station and the 5:06 a.m. and 7:42 p.m. weekday eastbound trips departing from Banana & Cherry. Removed on weekends are the 8:34 p.m. westbound trip departing Riverside-Downtown Metrolink Station and the 7:44 p.m. eastbound trip from Banana & Cherry.

ROUTE 51: The 7 a.m. trip departing UCR at Bannockburn has been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 52: All trips starting before 6:35 a.m. or after 7 p.m. have been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 54: The 11:35 a.m., 2:20 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. trips from Riverside-Downtown Metrolink Station have been discontinued due to low ridership and the cancelation of Metrolink trains trips.

ROUTE 55: Service operates only during school and major retail weekdays. To accommodate late school start times on Monday, a new trip departs Village & Harveston at 8:15 a.m. Due to low ridership, the 6:45 a.m., 7:18 a.m., 3:41 p.m. and 3:57 p.m. trips departing Village and Harveston have been discontinued.

ROUTE 61: Route 61 ends at the Promenade Temecula Mobility Hub instead of County Center. Due to low ridership, the 6 a.m. and 8:38 a.m. weekday northbound trips departing County Center, the 7:47 p.m. weekday southbound trip departing the Perris Station Transit Center, and the Saturday 6:09 a.m. southbound trip departing the Perris Station Transit Center have been discontinued.

ROUTE 74: The weekday and weekend schedules have been adjusted to connect with Route 79 at Mt. San Jacinto College. The 10:10 p.m. weekday westbound trip departing Mt. San Jacinto College has been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 79: This route has been expanded to Mt. San Jacinto College following the same route as Route 74. The weekday and weekend schedules have been adjusted to connect with Route 74 at Mt. San Jacinto College. The 4:31 a.m. weekday southbound trip and the 6:07 a.m. Saturday southbound trip departing the Hemet Valley Mall as well as the 7:15 p.m. northbound trip departing County Center have been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 202: The 3:39 a.m. weekday southbound trip departing Mulligans Murrieta, and the 4:49 a.m. weekday northbound trip departing the Oceanside Transit Center have been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 204: The 6 a.m. weekday northbound trip departing Market and University has been adjusted to depart five minutes earlier at 5:55 a.m. to improve connections with Metrolink rail service at Montclair Transcenter.

ROUTE 206: Due to low ridership, the 5:50 p.m. and 5:54 p.m. southbound trips departing the Corona Transit Center have been merged as one trip departing at 5:50 p.m. Selected trips have also changed to connect with the revised Perris Valley Line train times at Corona Transit Center/Metrolink Station.

ROUTE 208: The 7:40 a.m. southbound trip departing Vine Street Layover has been discontinued due to low ridership. Selected trips have also changed to connect with the revised Perris Valley Line train times at Perris Station Transit Center/Metrolink Station.

ROUTE 210: The 4 a.m. westbound trip departing Fir and Nason has been discontinued due to low ridership.

ROUTE 217: The 4:12 p.m. southbound trip departing the Temecula Promenade Mall and the 6:35 a.m. northbound trip departing the Escondido Transit Center have been discontinued due to low ridership.
