Timetable Updates

On Sunday, August 16, 2020, SamTrans will adjust schedules on some routes as it continues to adapt service under continually changing conditions in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Fare Payment and Front-Door Boarding Resumes: Fare payment and front-door boarding will resume with the installation of new protective barriers, which allow passengers to safely pay their fare without risking close contact with Operators.

Customers may use contactless payment methods like Clipper or the SamTrans Mobile app. Exact fare is still accepted. No change cards will be issued onboard.

Buses also undergo enhanced daily cleaning procedures using hospital-grade disinfectant. Face coverings must be worn at all times. Passengers are asked to practice physical distancing and exit the bus at the rear door when possible, wash hands frequently, avoid touching their faces, cough or sneeze into their elbow and stay home if they feel sick.

Summary of Changes

School-Day Only Service:
Most county schools are beginning the year with only distance learning or are still evaluating whether in-person instruction will be provided. SamTrans will continue coordinating with schools to determine potential future restoration of school-day only service for high-need populations when students resume in-person learning.
