SamTrans August 2019 Service Changes

Effective August 18, 2019

SamTrans will adjust or add service on several of its routes to improve schedules and on-time performance. Consult new timetables available onboard, visit www.samtrans.com/timetableupdates or call 1-800-660-4287 (TTY 650-508-6448).

SamTrans reviews and adjusts its schedules three times a year in response to traffic impacts, customer travel patterns and other service variables. The next schedule change will be January 5, 2020.

School's Back in Session

School-day-only service will be reinstated on community and main routes serving high schools, elementary and middle/intermediate schools. Main routes include 110, 112, 120, 130, 140, 141, 250, 251, 256, 260, 275, and 286. To find schedules and which route serves your school, visit www.samtrans.com/Get2School.

Service Changes

The following trips will be eliminated due to low ridership: 7 a.m. trip from Linda Mar Park & Ride and 3:10 p.m. trip from Terra Nova High School. A new trip departing Linda Mar at 1:20 p.m. will be added to accommodate early dismissal at Terra Nova.

Two new afternoon trips at 2:15 p.m. will serve northbound and southbound stops at Kelly/Church to meet Cunha Middle School�s new bell schedule.

Eastbound, the bus will depart Westmoor High at 3:30 p.m., five minutes later than the current schedule to serve the different schools along the route.

Southbound, morning trips will depart Callan/King at 7:14 a.m. and Serramonte Center at 7:13 a.m. Northbound, afternoon trips will depart South San Francisco High at 2:05 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. A new 3:16 p.m. trip will also be added to increase capacity at South San Francisco High.

All trips will be adjusted by up to five minutes earlier.

Westbound, all morning trips will be adjusted by up to five minutes earlier.

Northbound, the 7:40 a.m. trip will be eliminated due to low ridership. The 7:30 a.m. trip will now have increased capacity to accommodate all students from the eliminated 7:40 a.m. trip.

The 7:43 a.m. trip will be eliminated due to low ridership. A new trip at 1:45 p.m. will be added to meet early dismissal. The 4:15 p.m. trip will be adjusted to depart at 3:16 p.m. due to low ridership.

Multiple trips will now deviate from the core route and serve eastern Menlo Park and Onetta Harris Community Center, and will start and end at Purdue/Fordham.

Westbound, the 7:28 a.m. trip will be eliminated due to low ridership.

Westbound, the 12:15 p.m. trip will be eliminated due to low ridership.

Westbound, the 7:27 a.m. trip will be eliminated due to low ridership. Eastbound, the bus will no longer travel Menalto Avenue, instead the bus will go on Ringwood Avenue toward Bay Road to shorten travel time.

Southbound, a new trip will be added at 12:55 p.m. to meet the early dismissal bell. The 3:20 p.m. trip will be adjusted by 10 minutes earlier.

Westbound, the 2:40 p.m. trip serving Peninsula High School will be eliminated due to low ridership.

Westbound, school-day-only trips that start at 6:50 a.m. and 7:50 a.m. will be adjusted by five minutes later.

The routes will be extended to serve the San Francisco Ferry Building area. The first and last stop of the new terminal will be on Drumm Street on the northwest corner of Clay Street. Two new stops will be added north of Market Street.

Express commute to San Francisco! The NEW Foster City Commuter Express now offers riders weekday morning and afternoon express service in and out of Foster City and Downtown San Francisco. Northbound morning service starts at 6 a.m. from Hillsdale/Shell and southbound afternoon service starts at 3:35 p.m. from Drumm/Clay.
