Sun Metro Announces Service Improvements

Effective July 8, 2018

EL PASO, Texas – Effective Sunday, July 8, 2018 Sun Metro will implement schedule and service modifications. These changes are designed to improve the overall system and maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the service.

Impacted routes: 3, 15, 17, 18, 24, 31, 42, 50, 69, 83 and the Mesa Brio.

Route 3 (Ysleta Express) Sunday service will be deactivated. Route 61 can be utilized as an alternate route on Sundays.

Route 15 (Mesa) will experience a minor schedule change weekdays, Saturday and Sunday.

Route 17 (Three Hills NW EPCC / Outlet Shoppes) will experience a minor schedule change on weekdays and Saturday.

Route 18 (Westside Express) will be deactivated. Mesa Brio and Route 15 can be utilized as alternate routes.

Route 24 (Delta via Second Ward) will experience a minor route change; boarding will be relocated to 4th and Santa Fe.

Route 31 (Fort Bliss / Eastside Connector) will be deactivated. Route 30 will be available to Fort Bliss from 5 Points. Connect to Route 50 for a direct trip to the El Paso Intl. Airport.

Route 42 (Northeast Connector) Sunday service will be deactivated. Route 35 can be utilized as an alternate route on Sundays.

Route 50 (Montana) will experience a minor route change and will now service the El Paso Intl. Airport on outbound trips.

Route 69 (George Dieter/Zaragoza Bridge) will experience a minor schedule change during the week.

Route 83 (NM Sunland Park via McNutt) will experience a minor route change. Service has been extend to the Westside Transit Center at peak times on weekends and holidays. This route now follows the Sun Metro fare structure. All reduced fares as well as transfers are accepted.

Mesa Brio will experience a minor schedule change during the week. Service will now begin at 5:00 A.M. from the Downtown Transit Center.
