October Service Changes
The following service changes will take effect on Monday, October 8, 2018:
Major Changes
Light Rail
Line 901:Santa Teresa to Alum Rock The weekday Commuter Express trains will be discontinued. If needed, extra cars will be added to regular trains to handle capacity.
Express Lines
180 Great Mall/Main Transit Center/Aborn & White to Fremont BART: This line will terminate at Warm Springs BART instead of Fremont BART, in conjunction with BART extending both the Orange and Green lines to Warm Springs in September. Buses will operate non-stop between the Great Mall Transit Center and Warm Springs BART via Hwy. 880. Stops along Montague Expwy., Mission Blvd., Stevenson Blvd. and Civic Center Dr. will no longer be served. In addition, service will operate only during peak hours (6:00 to 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 to 7:30 p.m.). Midday and evening service will be discontinued due to low ridership.
181 Fremont BART Station to San Jose Diridon Transit Center: This line will terminate at Warm Springs BART instead of Fremont BART, in conjunction with BART extending both the Orange and Green lines to Warm Springs in September. Weekday buses will operate non-stop between San Jose Civic Center and Warm Springs BART. Stops along Stevenson Blvd. and Civic Center Dr. will no longer be served.
NOTES: Lines 120 and 140 will remain at Fremont BART. Also, AC Transit Line 217 now operates between Great Mall and Warm Springs BART seven days a week.

19 Gilroy Transit Center to 1st & Kern: - Minor weekday schedule changes
22 Palo Alto Transit Center to Eastridge Transit Center via El Camino: - Minor weekday schedule changes
23 De Anza College to Alum Rock Transit Center via Stevens Creek: - Minor weekday and weekend changes
37 West Valley College to Capitol Light Rail Station: - Minor weekday schedule changes
40 La Avenida & Inigo to Foothill College: - Minor weekday and weekend changes
53 West Valley College to Sunnyvale Transit Center: - Minor weekday schedule changes

66 Kaiser San Jose to Milpitas/Dixon Road via Downtown San Jose: - Minor weekday and weekend changes

70 Capitol LRT Station to Great Mall/Main Transit Center: - Minor weekday and weekend changes
72 Senter & Monterey to Downtown San Jose: - Minor weekday and weekend changes
522 Palo Alto Transit Center to Eastridge Transit Center: - Minor weekday and weekend changes
On October 8, new schedules can be found on board VTA buses and light rail as well as:
- VTA Downtown Customer Service Center, located at 55 - A. West Santa Clara Street, San Jose.
The hours are Mon. - Fri., 9 am to 6 pm - VTA Marketing and Customer Service, located at 3331 N. First Street at River Oaks, San Jose. The location is in the lobby of Building B.
