Millbrae Station
Millbrae Station is the only direct connection between the BART and Caltrain systems. All tracks and platforms are at ground level, and an overhead concourse provides access to the platforms and the parking garage. At the station, BART uses three tracks and platforms on the east side, while Caltrain uses two tracks and platforms on the west. BART's platform 3 is next to Caltrain's platform 4 (San Francisco-bound). They're separated by a wall and fare gates. Caltrain riders from the south can transfer to BART across the platform without going up to the concourse.
Points of interest
Ticket machines are available at the elevated station concourse and at the northbound Caltrain platform. First time riders can purchase a reusable Clipper card from a vending machine before boarding. All riders must pass through the faregates with a valid Clipper card, or mobile device with (Clipper enabled) Apple Pay/Google Wallet. Keep the device or card for the ride and use it to pass through the faregates again when exiting the station.
Riders using Clipper transferring from Caltrain need to "tag off" at a Caltrain Clipper reader on the platform before entering BART.
During daytime, R Red Line line provides service to San Francisco and East Bay (Richmond direction), as well as SFO. Y line trains provides service at night to SF and East Bay, with stop at SFO.
Normally, all BART trains board on Platform 3 (the one just across from Caltrain). However, some trains may drop off riders on other platforms.

All riders must have a valid paper/mobile ticket, or tagged Clipper card/mobile device before boarding Caltrain. Train crews may inspect for fares onboard. Riders using Clipper should "tag off" after exiting the train.
This station features side platforms for Caltrain. The northbound (SF) platform is next to the BART's platform and southbound (SJ) platform is across the tracks to the west. Use the elevated concourse to get from BART to the SJ Caltrain platform.
