Metro Transit (Minnesota) 3-4-2017

These routes changed on March 4

Effective Saturday, March 4, changes will be made to routes operated by Metro Transit & Maple Grove Transit.

Below is an overview of the changes.

Updated printed schedules are available on buses and trains and at Metro Transit Service Centers.

ROUTE 2

• The westbound 2E trip leaving Hennepin & 8th Ave. at 9:29 a.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 4

• Service will change to every 30 minutes after 8:30 p.m. on weekday evenings and every 30 minutes on Saturday mornings until 9 a.m. to better match ridership demand
• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 5

• Frequency will be adjusted to better match ridership demand.
• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 7

• Service on the weekends and holidays will extend to Historic Fort Snelling (Route 7F).
• Weekday service during peak hours will be reduced to every 30 minutes to better match ridership demand.

ROUTE 10

• Weekday frequency on branches reduced from 20 minutes to 30 minutes during midday.
• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 16

• Early morning and late night service changes to better match ridership demand
• Service will change to every 30 minutes between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays and 60 minutes in the evening between 10 p.m. and 12 a.m.
• New 16A terminal letter used for westbound trips ending at Fairview Ave.
• New 16B terminal letter used for westbound trips ending at 27th & University.

ROUTE 19

• Departure times for afternoon trips serving Patrick Henry High School will be adjusted.
• Trip leaving Morgan Ave. & 44th at 3:12 p.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 25

• Northbound trip leaving Leamington Ramp at 3:10 p.m. will be eliminated.
• Southbound trip leaving Silver Lake Village at 3:11 p.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 39

• Morning service will be reduced to better match ridership demand.

ROUTE 46

• Westbound trip leaving 46th St. Station at 7:40 a.m. will be eliminated.
• Eastbound trips leaving Chowen Ave. & 47th at 3:11 p.m. and 50th & Pleasant Ave. at 3:30 p.m. will be eliminated.
• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 59

• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 63

• Eastbound PM rush hour and Sunday morning service frequency will be adjusted to better match ridership demand
• Evening service will run every 30 minutes after 7 p.m.
• Some Saturday and Sunday morning westbound trips will start earlier for downtown connections.
• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 64

• New eastbound trip leaving Hillcrest Shopping Center at 8:03 a.m.
• Trip leaving Johnson High School at 3:12 p.m. will be eliminated.
• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 94

• Westbound trips to be rerouted from River Park Plaza to better serve downtown and Lowertown bus stops.
• Rush hour and midday schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 113

• Northbound trip leaving Grand Ave. & 46th St. at 12:45 p.m. will be eliminated.
• Southbound trips leaving Oak St. & 4th St. at 12:17 and 1:22 p.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 114

• Northbound trip leaving 38th St. & Bryant Ave. at 1:44 p.m. will be eliminated.
• Southbound trip leaving Oak St. & 4th St. at 1:21 p.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 115

• Final three trips of the day leaving Oak St. & 4th St. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 118

• Southbound trips leaving Columbia Heights Transit Center at 7:16 and 9:10 a.m. will be eliminated.
• Northbound trip leaving Oak St. & 4th St. at 3:28 p.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 141

• Southbound trip leaving 1st Ave. & Old Hwy. 8 at 6:02 a.m. will be eliminated.
• Northbound trip leaving MCTC at 5:40 p.m. will be eliminated.
• The Route 4B trip currently leaving MCTC at 5:35 p.m. will be extended as a Route 4G trip to provide additional service.

ROUTE 262

• Southbound trip leaving 95th Ave. Park & Ride at 5:54 a.m. will be eliminated.
• Northbound trip leaving Union Depot at 5:07 p.m. will be eliminated.
• Route 62 provides alternative service.
• Schedule times will be adjusted for improved connections.

ROUTE 263

• Southbound trip leaving Rice Street Park & Ride at 5:51 a.m. will be eliminated.
• Northbound trip leaving 1st Ave. & 14th St. at 5:34 p.m. will be eliminated.
• Route 270 will offer additional service at Rice Street Park & Ride to replace these trips.

ROUTE 270

• Trip times and routings will be adjusted to better match ridership demand.

ROUTE 351

• Route 351H added to distinguish service on Hudson Rd.

ROUTE 353

• Eastbound trip leaving Ramp B/5th St. Transit Center at 7:05 p.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 355

• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match ridership demand and travel time.

ROUTE 375

• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match ridership demand and travel time.

ROUTE 515

• Temporary rerouting for 66th St. reconstruction goes into effect.
• All “C” branch trips will route via American Blvd. and all “E” trips will reroute to 58th St. & 28th Ave.
• Schedule times will be adjusted accordingly.
• Evening frequency will be adjusted for Monday through Saturday service.

ROUTE 558

• Temporary rerouting for 66th St. reconstruction goes into effect.
• Northbound trip leaving 70th & Nicollet at 6:00 a.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 587

• Northbound trip that leaves 78th Ave. & Johnson at 7:40 a.m. will be eliminated.
• Southbound trips leaving Gateway Ramp & 4:49 and 6:05 p.m. will be eliminated.
• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 643

• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 652

• Eastbound trip leaving Plymouth Rd. Park & Ride at 8:22 a.m. will be eliminated.
• Westbound trip leaving Oak & 4th St. at 4:30 p.m. will be eliminated due to alternatives being available.

ROUTE 663

• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 664

• Westbound trip leaving 1st Ave. & 1st St. at 5:39 p.m. will be eliminated.
• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 667

• Eastbound trips leaving Amhurst at 5:42 and 9:17 a.m. will be eliminated.
• Westbound trips leaving Washington Ave. & Hennepin Ave. at 3:09 and 6:15 p.m. will be eliminated.
• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 668

• Eastbound trip leaving Tyler Ave. & 2nd St. at 6:41a.m. will be eliminated.
• Westbound trip leaving Washington Ave. & Hennepin Ave. at 6:11 p.m. will be eliminated.
• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 670/671

• In addition to current westbound rerouting, eastbound rerouting for Hwy. 169 construction goes into effect.
• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 672

• Westbound trips leaving 2nd St. & 1st Ave. at 6:25 a.m. and 3:04 p.m. will be eliminated.
• Eastbound trip leaving Wayzata Park & Ride at 6:01 p.m. will be eliminated.
• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 673

• Schedule times for both eastbound and westbound trips have been adjusted to better match ridership demand.

ROUTE 721

• Schedule times will be adjusted.

ROUTE 768

• Schedule times for both northbound and southbound trips have been adjusted to better match ridership demand.
