Fisherman's Wharf is a popular tourist destination in San Francisco.

Points of interest


Cable cars

The area is served by Powell-Hyde Line and Powell-Mason Line cable car from the Union Square area.

The terminal for the Mason line is on on Taylor Street and Bay Street. The terminal for the Hyde line is on Hyde Street and Beach Street. Each terminal features a turntable to manually turn the cable cars.

Historic streetcars

F-Market & Wharves and E-Embarcadero streetcars from Downtown San Francisco and the Ferry Building serves the heart of the Fisherman's Wharf area with stops at:

Ferry

There are two ferry terminals in the area. Pier 33 is the terminal for ferry to Alcatraz. Pier 41 is the Blue & Gold Fleet terminal for ferries to Tiburon, Sausalito, Angel Island, Vallejo, and Oakland/Alameda.
