This is a transfer point for lines within the CTA system and with Metra and South Shore Line trains at Chicago Millennium Station.

CTA 'L'

This station is served by the Red Line.

This is the transfer point between the Red Line and lines that run on the elevated Loop. The nearest loop stop is State/Lake Station which its nearest entrances are just around the corner from the subway exits near Lake Street. Blue line trains stop a block west at Washington Station under Dearborn Street. There's an underground pedestrian connection between the station concourses through the Block 37 shopping mall. There's no charge for transferring riders using Ventra.

CTA ticket machines are available at the station concourses under State Street, which sell reloadable Ventra card, single-ride, or 1 day ticket. All riders must pass through the turnstile with a valid Ventra card, ticket, contactless bank card, or mobile device with Apple/Samsung/Android Pay.

This underground station features a center platform. This station is part of the subway with a continuous platform and multiple stations that stretches to Jackson Blvd to the south.
