How to take MetroLink

Plan your trip

Select a station through the map above for access and parking information on individual stations.

Riding MetroLink

Before you board the MetroLink, you need to buy a ticket or pass from a MetroLink ticket machine (located at every station). MetroLink uses a proof of payment system. Riders must have a valid or pass while onboard MetroLink.

One way fare is valid for two hours in the rail system (single direction) with no bus transfer privileges. Two hour pass allows rides in any direction as well as bus transfer privileges. One day pass allows for unlimited use of the bus and rail system.

For unvalidated tickets (no time stamp), please use the red validation machines on all platforms before boarding trains.

On the platform, board the train that goes to your station. The headsign on the vehicle will show the destination (with line color on background). The line and train destination are announced at stations.

On the train, announcements will be made for the next station.

Bicycles

Bicycles can be taken aboard the MetroLink at all hours on all cars with no additional fare.

To ride on the MetroLink with a bike:

  • Board the train through the rear door of the first car, or the front and rear doors of the 2nd car, as indicated by the bike boarding markings on the platform by the yellow warning tiles. Only two bikes per marking.
  • Stand with the bike by the door area against the unused operator cab.

MetroLink trains provide level boarding at all doors. Priority seating areas is available on all cars. Ramps and elevators are available to access the platforms from the streets. See Rider Alerts for elevator closure.
