Ticket machines are available at every VTA Light Rail station. They may be located on the platforms or at the stairways leading to the platforms.

Ticket machines sell:

  • One way ticket (valid for 4 hours throughout the system)
  • Excursion pass (valid only on light rail for 8 hours)
  • Day pass (local buses and light rail)

Ticket machines can also add pass products or e-cash values onto existing Clipper cards.

Ticket machines accept:

  • Cash (change provided)
  • Day pass tokens

Ticket machines will eventually accept credit and ATM cards in the future.

Passengers must have a valid ticket or pass when riding the light rail.
