Big Blue Bus 3-27-2022


Service Changes Begin March 27, 2022

Beginning Sunday, March 27, we're making schedule changes on thirteen (13) routes.

Like most employers, Big Blue Bus remains challenged by the nationwide labor shortage. Until we are fully staffed, you may experience some service delays and cancellations. For this, we're sorry. We know you depend on us, and we're committed to keeping you moving safely and efficiently.

Reminder: Big Blue Bus has temporarily discontinued acceptance of cash and tokens on board. Instead, customers must make contactless fare payments with TAP or a mobile ticket.

Below are the changes that take effect on March 27, 2022.

Route 1 Main St & Santa Monica Blvd

Schedule Changes:

  • Schedule adjustments on all days, to help keep buses on time

Route 2 Wilshire Blvd

Schedule Changes:

  • Schedule adjustments on all days, to help keep buses on time.

Discontinued Stop

  • WB Wilshire Blvd. at Veteran Ave. (before the intersection)

Route 3 Lincoln Blvd

Schedule Changes:

  • Schedule adjustments on weekdays, to help keep buses on time.

Rapid 3 Lincoln Blvd Rapid

Schedule Changes:

  • Schedule adjustments on weekdays, to help keep buses on time.

Route 5 Olympic Blvd

Minor Schedule Changes:

  • Minor schedule adjustments on weekday eastbound trips, to help keep buses on time.

Route 7 Pico Blvd

Minor Schedule Changes:

  • Weekend:
    • Minor schedule adjustments on Saturday westbound trips, and Sunday eastbound trips, to help keep buses on time.

New Stop!

  • EB Pico Blvd. at Westwood Blvd. (after the intersection)

Discontinued Stop

  • EB Pico Blvd. at Westwood Blvd. (before the intersection)

Express 7 Pico Blvd Express

Not in service until further notice:

  • Use Route 7 or Rapid 7 for service between Downtown Santa Monica and the Wilshire/Western D Line Station in Koreatown.

Rapid 7 Pico Blvd Rapid

Schedule Changes:

  • Schedule adjustments on weekdays, to help keep buses on time.

New Stop!

  • EB Pico Blvd. at Westwood Blvd. (after the intersection)

Discontinued Stop

  • EB Pico Blvd. at Westwood Blvd. (before the intersection)

Route 8 Ocean Park Blvd

Schedule Changes:

  • Schedule adjustments on weekdays and Saturdays, to help keep buses on time.

Rapid 10 Downtown LA Freeway Express

Minor Schedule Changes:

  • Minor schedule adjustments on weekday eastbound trips to help keep buses on time.

Rapid 12 UCLA/Westwood to Expo Rapid

Minor Schedule Changes:

  • Minor schedule adjustments on weekends to help keep buses on time.

Route 14 Bundy Dr & Centinela Ave

Minor Schedule Changes:

  • Weekday:
    • Minor schedule adjustments to help keep buses on time.
  • Weekend:
    • Minor schedule adjustments on southbound trips to help keep buses on time.

Route 17 UCLA - VA Medical Center - Palms

Minor Schedule Changes:

  • Minor schedule adjustments on weekends to help keep buses on time.

Route 18 UCLA - Abbot Kinney - Marina del Rey

Minor Schedule Changes:

  • Minor schedule adjustments on weekend westbound trips to help keep buses on time.

New Stop!

  • NB 4th St. at Pico Blvd. (after the intersection)

Discontinued Stop

  • NB 4th St. at Pico Blvd. (before the intersection)
  • NB 4th St. at Civic Center Dr.

Route 42 SMC - 17th St Station - Montana Ave (Counterclockwise)
