On March 24, 2019, Community Transit will launch the Swift Green Line, the agency's second bus rapid transit line. Swift Green Line service will begin at Noon on Sunday, March 24.

The public is invited to a Swift Green Line launch celebration from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24 at McCollum Park. See details [/ride-swift here].

Beginning Monday, March 25, local routes serving the Boeing Everett plant will get extra trips and will terminate at the new Seaway Transit Center. Some other routes will have trips added or routing changes. See details below.

With every service change, some travel times are adjusted to improve connections or account for changes in traffic; your trip times may be affected. Be sure to check the new Bus Plus book or preview schedules online. Bus Plus books will be on buses the week of March 11.

Spring 2019 Service Changes

Swift Green Line (Bothell - Paine Field)

Swift Green Line: Service begins on Sunday, March 24 at Noon.

  • Begins service March 24, providing 10-minute weekday service and 20-minute early morning, night and weekend service between the Canyon Park Park & Ride in Bothell and the Seaway Transit Center near Boeing-Everett.
  • Will connect with the Swift Blue Line at Highway 99 and Airport Road, creating a high-frequency, high-capacity transit network.
  • Will serve the new Paine Field Airport passenger terminal with stations at Airport Road & 100th St.

The new Seaway Transit Center opens March 24

  • This facility will integrate transit service in the Southwest Everett Manufacturing and Industrial Center and will be a connection point for Community Transit, Everett Transit, King County Metro, Sound Transit, and Boeing shuttles.
  • Seaway Transit Center is accessible to transit vehicles only and does not have public parking.

Routes 107, 227, 247, 270, 271 & 280

The new Seaway Transit Center will be open on Sunday, March 24 at Noon for the launch of the Swift Green Line. Regular bus service to the Boeing Everett plant begins on Monday, March 25.

Please note the following changes for Routes 107, 227, 247, 270, 271 & 280:

  • Routes serving the Boeing Everett plant and nearby businesses will begin and end at the Seaway Transit Center rather than traveling on Perimeter Road around the plant. Connections to Everett Transit, Swift Green Line or private shuttles will get riders to their final destination. (See service maps below.)
  • Everett Transit will not run buses into the Seaway Transit Center until March 31.
  • Boeing employees will need to get a shuttle schedule from their employer. The schedule will also be posted at the transit center.
  • Trip times for some Boeing routes have moved earlier or later to allow time for transfers. Preview the March 2019 Spring Schedule online.
  • One new weekday roundtrip will be added to Routes 107, 227 & 247. This will provide more options for employees to get to and from work.
  • Route 107 will have new stops along the Mukilteo Speedway and 84th Street, serving local businesses and the Future of Flight Museum.

Route 222 (Marysville - Tulalip)

Last December, after the construction of a new roundabout, Route 222 began serving a new stop on westbound Marine Drive, near the far side of 31st Ave. NE. Both directions of Route 222 will serve this permanent stop.

Route 424 (Snohomish - Seattle)

  • The Montlake Freeway Station stop near University of Washington is scheduled to close in June 2019.
  • Riders currently using this stop can connect to Sound Transit Routes 540, 541 or 542 at the Evergreen Point Freeway Station to reach their campus destination.
  • The stop at Montlake Blvd. and Shelby St. will be the closest to the current stop after the closure.
  • Rider alerts will be posted and sent to e-alert subscribers closer to this change.

Sound Transit Express Routes (Serving Seattle)

  • Route 510 will add two new weekday southbound trips at 9:05 a.m. and 9:25 a.m. to improve access during peak times.
  • Beginning March 27, Route 512 northbound will serve the stop at NB 5th Ave. NE and 145th St. instead of the 145th St. Freeway Station stop due to Lynnwood Link construction.
  • Route 513 will be extended to Seaway Transit Center via Casino Rd. and will discontinue service to Evergreen Way & 79th Place. Stops will be added at Casino Rd. and Evergreen Way.
  • Community Transit will assume operations for Sound Transit Route 540, providing peak weekday trips between Kirkland Transit Center and the University of Washington.
