Denver RTD 1-15-2017

RTD makes changes to our bus and rail system to enhance service for our passengers. These changes are based on traffic pattern studies, ridership, economic factors, and community feedback as we strive to create the best transit system for our customers.

These services changes took effect on January 15, 2017.

Final Changes for Local/Limited Bus Routes

route 6

route 15L

Schedule adjustments will be made.

route 40

The weekday northbound trip at 6:32 p.m. from Colorado Center will be discontinued.

route 44

Service will be rerouted off of Steele Street to operate instead on Clayton Street between 40th and 43rd avenues.

route 62NEW

This new route will provide service between Central Park Station to 60th Avenue and Dahlia Street via Central Park Boulevard, to 56th Avenue, to Quebec Street, to 60th Avenue. Weekday service will operate every 30 minutes from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and hourly on Saturdays. Special services will be offered on Colorado Rapids game days at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

route 72W

Schedule adjustments will be made.

route 116L

Service will be discontinued due to low ridership. Alternate service will be provided by route 21 in the Bear Creek area and the Green Mountain Call-n-Ride.

route 130

Starting Monday, January 16, 2017, only the first southbound trip from the Aurora Station to Nine Mile will depart at 3:39 a.m. instead of 3:49 a.m. Stops along the route between Aurora Station and Nine Mile will depart 10 minutes earlier. All other trips on the schedule will remain the same as listed the in timetables.

route 131

Route will end at the new Iliff Station when the R Line opens in 2017. Service along Yale and Peoria to Nine Mile Station will be discontinued. Service will continue to operate east of Tower Road to Flanders Street. Midday service will be added with hourly frequency.

route 169L

The weekday and weekend southbound trip at 7:10 p.m. will be discontinued. The Saturday and Sunday southbound trip at 5:10 p.m. will also be discontinued.

route 205/205T

The last weekday eastbound trip at 11:15 p.m. will be shifted to 11:37 p.m. for better connections to Route AB at Downtown Boulder Station.

route 324

Service will be rerouted from Silver Creek High School to a new west-end route at Grandview Meadows Drive and Nelson Road.

route 327

Saturday trips will be adjusted by 30 minutes for better connections with other Local routes at 8th & Coffman Park-n-Ride.

Route will no longer serve the US 36 & Sheridan Station. Alternate service to Union Station will be provided by Route FF1.

route R/RC/RX

This route will be renamed RC/RX when the R Line opens in 2017. Three northbound and two southbound rush-hour trips will be converted from route R to route RX.

Final Changes for Call-n-Ride

route Call-n-Ride Highlands Ranch

Service will be discontinued due to low ridership. Alternate service will be provided by routes 402L and 403.

Final Changes for Special Service

route RockiesRide

Service will be reduced on the following RockiesRide routes for the 2017 Colorado Rockies Baseball Club season:

36R from Wadsworth and Hampden will be discontinued.

55R from Olde Town Arvada will be discontinued. Alternate service will be provided by the future G Line to Union Station.

86R from US 36 & Broomfield Station will be discontinued. Alternate service will be provided by Flatiron Flyer bus service to Union Station.

BR from Boulder High School, US 36 &Table Mesa Station, and US 36 & McCaslin Station will be discontinued. Alternate service would be provided by Flatiron Flyer bus service to Union Station.

Final Changes for Rail Service

route C

A weekday northbound trip from Mineral Station will be added at 4:42 a.m., arriving at Union Station at 5:11 a.m. A weekday southbound trip from Union Station will be added at 4:34 a.m., arriving at Mineral Station at 5:02 a.m. Schedule adjustments will also be made.

route D

Schedule adjustments will be made.

route E

A weekday northbound trip from Lincoln Station will be added at 5:53 a.m., arriving at Union Station at 6:35 a.m. A weekday northbound trip will be added from Southmoor Station at 4:17 a.m., arriving at Union Station at 4:50 a.m. The weekday northbound trip from Southmoor Station at 4:54 a.m. will be extended to start from Lincoln Station at 4:38 a.m. A weekday southbound trip from Union Station will be added at 4:58 a.m., arriving Lincoln Station at 5:40 a.m. A Saturday northbound trip from Southmoor Station will be added at 4:25 a.m., arriving at Union Station 5:00 a.m. Schedule adjustments will also be made.

route F

Schedule adjustments will be made.

route H

Service will be extended to the new Iliff Station and Florida Station when the R Line opens in 2017 as part of the I-225 Rail Line project. Schedule adjustments will also be made.

route R

The new R Line will provide service between Peoria Station and Lincoln Station when the line opens in 2017. Service adjustments will be made from the original proposal due to new information from Aurora traffic signal bench testing, which has increased wait times at some signals from what was earlier forecasted.

route W

Service will be discontinued for the Monday – Friday eastbound rush-hour trips from Federal Center Station at 6:16 a.m., 6:46 a.m., 7:16 a.m., 7:46 a.m., 8:16 a.m., 8:46 a.m., 4:01 p.m., 4:31 p.m., 5:01 p.m., 5:31 p.m., and 6:01 p.m., and westbound rush-hour trips from Union Station at 5:27 a.m., 5:57 a.m., 6:25 a.m., 6:55 a.m., 7:25 a.m., 7:55 a.m., 3:10 p.m., 3:40 p.m., 4:10 p.m., 4:40 p.m., 5:10 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. Passengers affected by the changes will need to take a W Line 7.5 minutes earlier or later. The changes will create 15 minute frequency, which is similar to other light rail lines during rush-hour periods. Schedule adjustments will also be made.

The Friday and Saturday eastbound trip at 2:28 a.m. from the Jefferson County Government Center Station will be extended to Union Station, arriving at 3:07 a.m.
