Denver RTD 9-5-2021

In addition to the effects COVID-19 has had on our system and ridership, activities such as traffic patterns, economic factors, and customer feedback affect our transit system every day.

As the region begins to recover from COVID-19, RTD is enacting these service changes to improve on-time performance, increase service reliability, and support modest increases in ridership. Please review the below details to see how your trip or commute may be affected, and thank you for riding RTD.

These service changes took effect on September 5, 2021.

Final Changes for Local/Limited Bus Routes

Route 0L - reinstated

• Reinstate weekday rush hour service between I-25-Broadway and Civic Center Station, with 15-minute service frequency between 6 a.m. - 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Route 3L - reinstated

• Reinstate weekday rush hour service with three daily trips in each direction between Aurora Metro Center Station and Civic Center Station only.

Route 10 - modified

• Increase weekday rush hour service frequency to every 15 minutes between 6:30 a.m. - 9 a.m., and 3:30 p.m. - 6 p.m., between 9th/Clermont and downtown Denver.

Route 19 - modified

• Increase weekday service frequency to every 30 minutes. Minor running time adjustments will also be made to improve on-time performance.

Route 20 - modified

• Add (3) weekday trips in both the A.M. and P.M. rush hours between Union Station and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

Route 42 - modified

• Restore select early-morning and late-evening trips. Restore weekday rush hour service frequency to 15 minutes in Montbello.

Route 43 - modified

• Restore select early-morning and late-evening trips.

Route 45 - modified

• Restore select early-morning and late-evening trips.

Route 46 - modified

• Begin weekday service 90 minutes earlier than existing schedule, with service beginning at approximately 6:15 a.m. in each direction.

Route 48 - modified

• Expand weekday service hours to 5 a.m. - 11 p.m. with 30-minute service frequency all day.

Route 65 - modified

• Restore weekday service from Southmoor Station to Ulster/Tufts in the Denver Tech Center, and north to 56th/Central Park serving Northfield High School.

Route 105 - modified

• Restore select early morning and late-night trips.

Route 120 - modified

• Implement the 120W route on weekdays with A.M. and P.M. rush hours with 60-minute service frequency between the US 36-Broomfield station and Wagon Road Park-n-Ride.

Route 121 - modified

• Restore 15-minute rush hour frequency north of Peoria Station through the Montbello neighborhood. Restore select early morning and late-night trips.

Route 130 - modified

• Restore the 4:46 a.m. southbound trip on weekdays.

Route 153 - modified

• Restore select early morning and late-night trips.

Route 204 - modified

• Implement the previous, RTD Board-approved weekday schedule with 30-minute service frequency.

Route 206 - modified

• Implement weekday, rush hour service with 30-minute frequency between Arapahoe/55th and Fairview High School allowing the provision of service to schools in Boulder.

Route 225 - modified

• Restore the previous RTD Board-approved weekday schedule, with 15-minute service frequency for A.M. and P.M. rush hours, and 30-minute frequency midday.

Route DASH - modified

• Add short-turn trips during weekday A.M. and P.M. rush hours, with service between Downtown Boulder Station and Manhattan Circle.

Route JUMP - modified

• Implement the previous, RTD Board-approved weekday schedule.
• Operate between Downtown Boulder Station and BVSD Tech. Education Center with 15-minute service frequency on weekdays during A.M. and P.M. rush hours, and 30-minute frequency midday.
• Operate between Downtown Boulder Station and Lafayette Park-n-Ride at 30-minute service frequency during A.M. and P.M. rush hours, and 60-minute frequency midday.
• Operate between Downtown Boulder Station and Erie Recreation Center with 30-minute service frequency during A.M. and P.M. rush hours., with no midday service.

Route SKIP - modified

• Restore the previous weekday schedule, with 10-minute service frequency for A.M. and P.M. rush hours, and 15-minute frequency midday.

Final Changes for Regional Bus Routes

Route 116X - reinstated

• Reinstate weekday service with three A.M. and P.M. rush hour trips. These trips will temporarily serve passengers boarding and alighting at Federal Center Station in lieu of the route 99L returning from suspension at this time.

Route BOLT - modified

• Increase weekday service frequency to 30 minutes in the A.M. and P.M. rush hours, and retain 60 minute service frequency for midday.

Route CV - reinstated

• Reinstate weekday service with three A.M. and P.M. rush hour trips. These trips will temporarily serve passengers boarding and alighting at Federal Center Station in lieu of the route 99L returning from suspension at this time.

Route EV - reinstated

• Reinstate weekday service with three A.M. and P.M. rush hour trips. These trips will temporarily serve passengers boarding and alighting at Federal Center Station in lieu of the route 99L returning from suspension at this time.

Route LD - modified

• Restore midday, weekday service on LD3 with 60-minute service frequency during midday between 8th/Coffman Park-n-Ride and US-36 Broomfield Park-n-Ride.

Route NB - modified

• Reinstate service to Eldora Ski Resort during ski season for weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays/Holidays, as well as implement additional weekday early A.M. round trips between Downtown Boulder Station and Nederland High School.

Route P - reinstated

• Reinstate weekday service, with three trips in each direction.

Final Changes for Rail

E Line - modified

• Restore Friday and Saturday evening service to 2 a.m.

N Line - modified

• Minor running time adjustments will be made to improve on-time performance.

W Line - modified

• Restore Friday and Saturday evening service to 2 a.m.

Access-a-Ride

• Routes with reduction or improvements may impact ADA Access-a-Ride service availability.

Wagon Road - modified

• Add midday service between 10:50 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. for weekdays and Sundays.
