Golden Gate Transit Regional Bus Service Adjustments

Effective Sunday, September 9 & Monday, September 10, 2018

Golden Gate Transit adjusts regional bus schedules quarterly to improve system efficiency.

Routes 2, 4, 24, 24X, 30, 31, 38, 40, 40X, 54, 56, 58, 72X, and 74

  • Some trips will be ADJUSTED up to 6 minutes to improve connections and running times.

Route 4C

  • NEW route serving the San Francisco Civic Center (SFCC)!
  • Southbound trips will arrive at the SFCC at 7:45 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., and northbound trips will depart the SFCC at 4:13 p.m. and 5:13 p.m. Trips will be included in the Route 4 timetables.

Route 18

Route 24

  • The northbound 3:30 p.m. trip will NO LONGER serves Hwy 101 bus pads. Alternate service to these bus pads will be available on a new Route 18 trip, departing the San Francisco Financial District at 3:36 p.m.

Route 24C

  • Route 24 trips to/from the San Francisco Civic Center (SFCC) will be RENUMBERED to Route 24C. Trips will be included in the Route 24 timetables.
  • The northbound trip will be ADJUSTED to depart the SFCC at 5:38 p.m.

Route 30

  • Buses will now begin/end at the Salesforce Transit Center (Mission & Fremont) in San Francisco. Service will be from the Bus Plaza on the street level. The southbound stop at Beale Street & Howard Street and the northbound stop at Main Street & Folsom Street will NO LONGER be served.

Route 41

  • Southbound afternoon trips and northbound morning trips will be ADDED between the Smith Ranch Park & Ride and the Larkspur Ferry Terminal.

Route 54C

  • Route 54 trips to/from the San Francisco Civic Center (SFCC) will be RENUMBERED to Route 54C. Trips will be included in the Route 54 timetables.
  • The northbound trip will be ADJUSTED to depart the SFCC at 5:08 p.m.

Route 70

  • Buses will now begin/end at the Salesforce Transit Center (Mission & Fremont) in San Francisco. Service will be from the Bus Plaza on the street level. The southbound stop at Beale Street & Howard Street and the northbound stop at Main Street & Folsom Street will NO LONGER be served.

Route 92

  • Southbound morning arrivals at SFCC and northbound afternoon departures from SFCC will be ADJUSTED to operate 10 minutes LATER.
  • There will be other minor adjustments to some northbound morning trip times.

Route 93

  • Route 93 will be CANCELLED. For alternate service between the Toll Plaza and the Civic Center, see Routes 4C, 24C, 30, 54C, 70, 92 (via Geary Blvd), 101, and 101X.

Route 101 / 101X

  • There will be northbound routing revisions in downtown Petaluma to improve travel time. Northbound buses will now serve the same 4th Street & C Street stop as southbound buses (in front of the Mail Depot), and the northbound bus stop at E. Washington Street & Petaluma Blvd South will NO LONGER be served.
  • Buses will now begin/end at the Salesforce Transit Center (Mission & Fremont) in San Francisco. Service will be from the Bus Plaza on the street level. The southbound stop at Beale Street & Howard Street and the northbound stop at Main Street & Folsom Street will NO LONGER be served.
  • The northbound Route 101X trip at 2:54 p.m. trip will be ADJUSTED to 3:18 p.m.

Golden Gate Ferry

  • Beginning Monday, September 24, Larkspur Ferry will begin running its fall schedule, which eliminates the trips departing Larkspur at 11:40 a.m. and departing San Francisco at 12:25 p.m.
  • The Larkspur Ferry weekend and the Sausalito and Tiburon Ferry timetables will remain unchanged.
