King County Metro 3-29-2025

Starting March 29, King County Metro will increase bus service, including on evenings and weekends. The additional service will include hundreds more trips on Routes 8, 36 and 107 supported by the Seattle Transit Measure*.

Some routes will use new bus stops, including the Federal Way Downtown Station, and several Redmond bus routes will serve new Link 2 Line stations when they open May 10.

Bus trip times will be updated across most bus routes. New purple timetables with the changes are available on buses, at transit centers and at other popular locations.


Route 8

8 new trips will be added on Saturday and 33 new trips will be added on Sunday.

These additional trips are funded by the voter-approved Seattle Transit Measure.


Route 36

14 new trips will be added on Saturday and 36 new trips will be added on Sunday.

These additional trips are funded by the voter-approved Seattle Transit Measure.


Route 56

This route will see a reduction in trips that are currently funded by the Seattle Transit Measure. This route will have 1 fewer trip each weekday during the morning commute hours. These service hours will be re-invested in other routes to better meet the City’s policy goals and equity commitments.


Route 62

Route 62 will no longer stop at S Washington St & 4th Ave S (stop #625), due to the 3rd Ave S/S Main St stop improvement project. It will instead serve a new stop just east of there, eastbound on S Washington St (stop #626) just west of 5th Ave S.


Route 107

6 trips will be added on weekdays, 61 trips will be added on Saturday and 63 trips will be added on Sunday.

These additional trips are funded by the voter-approved Seattle Transit Measure.


Route 124

1 trip will be added on Saturday and 2 trips will be added on Sunday.

These additional trips are funded by the voter-approved Seattle Transit Measure.


Route 107

On Sunday, March 30, the Federal Way Transit Center will close, and buses will serve the new Federal Way Downtown Station just south of there.

New stop locations at the Federal Way Downtown Station:

  • Bay 10: To downtown Seattle
  • Bay 11: To Federal Way/320th P&R

Route 181

On Sunday, March 30, the Federal Way Transit Center will close, and buses will serve stops on S 320th St adjacent to the new Federal Way Downtown Station.

New stop locations near the Federal Way Downtown Station:

  • Bay 12 (S 320th St & 22nd Ave S): To Twin Lakes Park & Ride
  • Bay 13 (S 320th St & 23rd Ave S): To Green River College

Route 182

On Sunday, March 30, the Federal Way Transit Center will close, and buses will serve the new Federal Way Downtown Station just south of there. Board or exit at Bay 9 at the new station.


Route 183

On Sunday, March 30, the Federal Way Transit Center will close, and buses will serve the new Federal Way Downtown Station just south of there.

New stop locations at the Federal Way Downtown Station:

  • Bay 10: To Kent Station
  • Bay 11: To Federal Way Downtown Station

Route 187

On Sunday, March 30, the Federal Way Transit Center will close, and buses will serve the new Federal Way Downtown Station just south of there.

New stop locations at the Federal Way Downtown Station:

  • Bay 2: To Twin Lakes
  • Bay 9: To Federal Way Downtown Station

Route 193

On Sunday, March 30, the Federal Way Transit Center will close, and buses will serve the new Federal Way Downtown Station just south of there.

New stop locations at the Federal Way Downtown Station:

  • Bay 10: To First Hill
  • Bay 11: To Federal Way/320th P&R

Route 224

On May 10, Sound Transit expects to open new 2 Line stations at Marymoor Village and Downtown Redmond stations. When those stations open, this route will be revised to serve Downtown Redmond Station.


Route 226

Morning trip times will be adjusted to better align with Interlake and Bellevue High School bell times.


Route 240

Morning trip times will be adjusted to better align with Newport High School bell times.


Route 241

Morning trip times will be adjusted to better align with Interlake and Bellevue High School bell times.


Route 250

On May 10, Sound Transit expects to open new 2 Line stations at Marymoor Village and Downtown Redmond stations. When those stations open, this route will be revised to serve Downtown Redmond Station.


Route 269

On May 10, Sound Transit expects to open new 2 Line stations at Marymoor Village and Downtown Redmond stations. When those stations open, this route will be revised to serve Marymoor Village Station.


Route 901

On Sunday, March 30, the Federal Way Transit Center will close, and buses will serve the new Federal Way Downtown Station just south of there.

New stop locations at the Federal Way Downtown Station:

  • Bay 9: To Dash Point Village
  • Bay 11: To Federal Way Downtown Station

Route 903

On Sunday, March 30, the Federal Way Transit Center will close, and buses will serve the new Federal Way Downtown Station just south of there. Board or exit at Bay 9 at the new station.


Route 930

On May 10, Sound Transit expects to open new 2 Line stations at Marymoor Village and Downtown Redmond stations. When those stations open, this route will be revised to serve Downtown Redmond Station and run hourly on weekends between 6 am and 5 pm.


RapidRide A

On Sunday, March 30, the Federal Way Transit Center will close, and buses will serve the new Federal Way Downtown Station just south of there. 2 late night trips will be changed to improve transfers with Route 124.

New stop locations at the Federal Way Downtown Station:

  • Bay 8: To Tukwila International Blvd Station
  • Bay 11: To Federal Way Downtown Station

RapidRide B

On May 10, Sound Transit expects to open new 2 Line stations at Marymoor Village and Downtown Redmond stations. When those stations open, this route will be revised to serve Downtown Redmond Station.

At that time, RapidRide B Line will be revised to remain on 156th Ave NE between NE 24th St and NE 31st St, no longer serving Overlake Village Station. The route will continue to serve Redmond Technology Station.


RapidRide C

This route will have fewer trips during afternoon commute hours. This includes a reduction in trips that were funded by the voter-approved Seattle Transit Measure. Buses will still come about every 10 minutes or more frequently on this route.

This change is to support Seattle’s equity goals, better align with transit need and demand, and be consistent with Metro’s RapidRide policies.


RapidRide E

RapidRide E Line will no longer serve 2 stops due to the 3rd Ave S/S Main St stop improvement project:

  • 1402 at S Main St and 3rd Ave S
  • 1404 at S Washington St & 3rd Ave S

RapidRide E Line will instead stop at:

  • S Washington St & 4th Ave S (stop #625)
  • 5th Ave S & S Washington St (stop #98070)

RapidRide G

2 late night trips will be added for both weekday and weekend service.

These additional trips are funded by the voter-approved Seattle Transit Measure.


RapidRide H

5 trips will be added on weekdays and 3 trips will be added on Saturday and Sunday.

These additional trips are funded by the voter-approved Seattle Transit Measure.
