October Service Changes

Please note changes listed below to MTS services, effective Sunday, October 15, 2023, unless otherwise noted. New timetables for the affected routes will be GOLD.

Route Description of Changes Timetable
Route: 3 Changes: Weekday frequency is increased to every 12 minutes instead of every 15 minutes.

Route: 227 Changes: New Rapid 227 begins service between Imperial Beach and Otay Mesa! Rapid 227 has fewer stops for faster service, and operates every 15 minutes, seven days a week, and every 7.5 minutes between Otay Mesa and Iris Avenue Transit Centers during weekday peaks. Twelve brand new electric articulated buses will be used on Rapid 227 - the first in MTS' fleet!

Route: 901 Changes: Downtown terminal is changed from First Ave. to Third Ave. The last inbound stop in Downtown San Diego is now Third Ave./B Street, and the first outbound stop is at Front St./B Street. Also, other schedule adjustments. Note that most routes at the Iris Ave. Transit Center have new bus bay assignments - see map on the Take One.

Route: 906/907 Changes: The boarding bay for Route 907 is moved from the east side of the Trolley tracks to the new bus platform on the west side of the Trolley tracks, at Iris Ave. and Howard Avenue. Passengers traveling to the Iris Ave. Transit Center on Route 906 will now be dropped off at the new westside bus platform. Also, other schedule adjustments. Note that most routes at the Iris Ave. Transit Center have new bus bay assignments - see map on the Take One.

Route: 916/917 Changes: Schedule adjustment on Route 917 to improve connections.

Route: 929 Changes: Route 929 is extended from 12th & Imperial Transit Center into Downtown San Diego, seven days a week. The Downtown terminal for all trips is now First Ave. at Broadway. Also, other schedule adjustments. Note that most routes at the Iris Ave. Transit Center have new bus bay assignments - see map on the Take One.

Route: 933/934 Changes: The boarding bay for Route 934 is moved from the east side of the Trolley tracks to the new bus platform on the west side of the Trolley tracks, at Iris Ave. and Howard Ave. Passengers traveling to the Iris Ave. Transit Center on Route 933 will now be dropped off at the new westside bus platform. Also, Sunday service is restored to 13th St., Satellite Blvd., and Saturn Blvd. and Route 933A/934A will be replaced with regular Route 933/934 service. Note other schedule adjustments on all days. Note that most routes at the Iris Ave. Transit Center have new bus bay assignments - see map on the Take One.

Route: 950 Changes: Route 950 is discontinued and replaced with Rapid 227, which offers service more frequently, all day in both directions, and later in the evening than Route 950. Rapid 227 also includes a stop along the 905 freeway at Caliente Avenue for riders' convenience. Timetable: N/A
