Metro Transit (Minnesota) 12-5-2020

As part of the ongoing, shared effort to limit the spread of COVID-19 and respond to changes in travel demand, Metro Transit continues to refine its service schedule with changes which begin on Saturday, Dec. 5. We continue to focus our resources in areas where they are most needed to provide critical travel during this ongoing crisis.

Metro Transit regularly monitors ridership to see if changes such as extra trips or larger vehicles are needed to help customers maintain social distancing onboard.

Check your route below for a summary of service that begins Saturday, Dec. 5.

METRO RED LINE

• Schedule times will be adjusted slightly.
• Boarding locations will shift slightly at each station.
• New station at Cedar Ave. will be station in the middle of Hwy. 77.

ROUTE 5

• Schedule times and trips will be adjusted for all days of the week to better reflect actual travel times.

ROUTE 7

• Northbound Route 7C trips will extend to new terminal at the Trailhead facility at Theodore Wirth Park.

ROUTE 10

• Schedule times and route will be adjusted for all days of the week to better reflect actual travel times and the detour to Hennepin Ave. from Central Ave. due to bridge construction.

ROUTE 17

• Schedule times and route will be adjusted for all days of the week to better reflect actual travel times and the detour to Hennepin Ave. from Central Ave. due to bridge construction.

ROUTE 21

• Service will no longer operate on Broadway and is rerouted via Wacouta to Kellogg eastbound and Kellogg to Sibley westbound.

ROUTE 25

• Schedule times and route will be adjusted for all days of the week to better reflect actual travel times and the detour to Hennepin Ave. from Central Ave. due to bridge construction.

ROUTE 54

• Westbound detour on Hwy. 5 ends and service to airport from both direction restored.
• Union Depot will no longer operate on Broadway; service is rerouted via Wacouta to Kellogg eastbound and Kellogg to Sibley westbound.

ROUTE 63

• Service will no longer operate on Broadway and is rerouted via Wacouta to Kellogg eastbound and Kellogg to Sibley westbound.

ROUTE 67

• The western terminal will be extended to 14th Ave S. & Franklin Ave.
• Schedule times adjusted to account for new routing and stops.

ROUTE 68

• Some weekday, Saturday and Sunday trips were added (eff. Sept. 26) for social distancing requirements.

ROUTE 70

• Service will no longer operate on Broadway and is rerouted via Wacouta to Kellogg eastbound and Kellogg to Sibley westbound.

ROUTE 94

• Schedule times are adjusted between downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul.
• Union Depot trips will no longer operate on Broadway; service is rerouted via Wacouta to Kellogg eastbound and Kellogg to Sibley westbound.

ROUTE 134

• Schedule times adjusted to better match travel times.

ROUTE 250

• Schedule times and route will be adjusted for all days of the week to better reflect actual travel times and the detour to Hennepin Ave. from Central Ave. due to bridge construction.

ROUTE 264

• Schedule times and route will be adjusted to better reflect actual travel times and the detour to Hennepin Ave. from Central Ave. due to bridge construction.

ROUTE 270

• Schedule times and route will be adjusted to better reflect actual travel times and the detour to Hennepin Ave. from Central Ave. due to bridge construction.

ROUTE 294

• Service will no longer operate on Broadway and is rerouted via Wacouta to Kellogg eastbound and Kellogg to Sibley westbound.

ROUTE 353

• Service will no longer operate on Broadway and is rerouted via Wacouta to Kellogg eastbound and Kellogg to Sibley westbound.

ROUTE 363

• Service will no longer operate on Broadway and is rerouted via Wacouta to Kellogg eastbound and Kellogg to Sibley westbound.

ROUTE 578

• Schedule times adjusted to better match travel times.

ROUTE 705

• Schedule times adjusted to allow for better connections with Route 645 at Louisiana Transit Center.

MAPLE GROVE

ROUTE 781

• Southbound trips leaving Maple Grove Transit Center at 7:07, 7:25, 7:35 and 7:48 a.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.
• Northbound trips leaving 2nd Ave. & 10th St. at 3:45, 4:26, 4:35, 5:01 and 5:09 p.m. will be eliminated due to low ridership.
