Metro Transit (Minnesota) 8-18-2018

Effective Saturday, Aug. 18, changes will be made to routes operated by Metro Transit.

Below is an overview of the changes.

A LINE

  • Schedule times adjusted to improve Blue and Green Line transfers as much as possible.
  • Some early morning weekday trips will start 5 minutes earlier.

ROUTE 2

  • Westbound trips will no longer serve 27th Ave. All trips will operate on 26th Ave. in both directions.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted to reflect actual travel time.
  • More information about specific route closures will be available on Route 2 buses in early August.
  • Eastbound Route 2C trips that leave 22nd St. & Hennepin at 2:58 and 4:54 p.m. will be reinstated.
  • Westbound trips that leave 7th St. & 2nd Ave. SE at 3:55 and 5:55 p.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 3*

  • Eastbound trips that leave 5th St. Garage at 4:14 p.m. (3A) and 6:57 p.m. (3E) will be eliminated.
  • Westbound Route 3A trip that leaves Union Depot at 6:33 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Westbound Route 3B trip that leaves 4th & Minnesota at 5:35 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Eastbound Route 3B trip that leaves 5th St. Garage at 5:44 p.m. will be reinstated.
  • Westbound Route 3B trip that leaves Union Depot at 2:32 p.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 4*

  • Northbound Route 4B trip that leaves 82nd St. Transit Center at 2:12 p.m. will be reinstated.
  • Southbound Route 4 trip that leaves Silver Lake Village at 4:10 p.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 5*

  • Underused morning and afternoon school trips will be eliminated.
  • Schedule times, on all days, will be adjusted to maximize use of Transit Signal Priority.
  • Southbound 5E trip leaving 26th Ave & Penn Ave. at 6:28 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Southbound trip leaving Osseo Rd & 47th Ave. at 7:21 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Southbound 5A trip leaving 7th St. Garage at 7:24 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Northbound 5L trip leaving Mall of America Transit Station at 7:44 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Southbound trips leaving Brooklyn Center Transit Center at (5A) 7:32 a.m. and (5E) 5:16 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Northbound 5M trip leaving Chicago & 38th St. at 3:19 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Northbound 5M trip leaving Chicago & 56th St. at 3:40 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Northbound Route 5L trip that leaves Mall of America at 2:43 p.m. will be reinstated.
  • Southbound Route 5E trip that leaves 33rd Ave. & Fremont at 4:22 p.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 6*

  • Southbound school trip leaving 1st Ave. & 1st St. at 6:55 a.m. will leave at 6:57 a.m.
  • Underused morning and afternoon school trips will be eliminated.
  • Northbound trips leaving Minnesota Dr. & France Ave. at 5:25 a.m. and 2:52 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Northbound trip leaving Southdale Transit Center at 5:21 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Southbound trips leaving 1st Ave. & 1st St. at (6K) 6:39 a.m., (6B) 4:12 p.m. and (6B) 6:27 p.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 10*

  • Northbound 10U trip leaving Leamington Ramp at 7:48 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Southbound trips leaving Northtown Transit Center at 5:56 and 6:32 a.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 11

  • Schedule and trip adjustments made to accommodate new school day schedule at Washburn High School.
  • Northbound Route 11B trip that leaves 50th St. & Pleasant at 3:18 p.m. will be reinstated
  • Northbound Route 11B trip that leaves 46th St. & Nicollet at 5:50 p.m. will be reinstated.
  • Southbound Route 11A trip that leaves 30th Ave. NE & Randolph at 4:38 p.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 12*

  • Eastbound trip leaving Opportunity Partners at 4:35 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Eastbound trip that leaves Bren Rd. & Blue Circle Dr. at 7 a.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 17*

  • Eastbound Route 17W trip that leaves 31st St. & Irving at 7:24 a.m. will be reinstated.
  • Westbound Route 17C trip that leaves 27th Ave. & Washington St. NE at 8:21 a.m. reinstated.

ROUTE 18*

  • Stop currently at 65th & Lyndale moved to 66th & Nicollet.
  • Northbound school trips in the afternoon adjusted for new schedule at Washburn High School.
  • Northbound trip leaving 104th St. & Bloomington Freeway W. at 5:04 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Northbound trip leaving Nicollet & 46th St. at 5:24 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Northbound trip leaving American Blvd. & 2nd Ave. at 7:04 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Southbound trips leaving Nicollet & 3rd at 6:11 and 8:05 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Southbound trip leaving North Terminal at 6:39 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Northbound trip that leaves 48th St. & Nicollet at 6:25 a.m. will be reinstated.
  • Northbound trip that leaves American Blvd. & 2nd Ave. S. at 8:09 a.m. will be reinstated.
  • Southbound Route 18D trip that leaves North Terminal at 7:08 a.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 19

  • Underused northbound school trips in the morning will be eliminated.

ROUTE 21

  • Underused eastbound school trip at Uptown Transit Station at 3:16 p.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 22

  • Underused southbound school trip leaving 7th St. Garage at 7:22 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Northbound trip leaving VA Medical Center at 8:38 a.m. will leave 2 minutes later.

ROUTE 23

  • Eastbound weekday trip leaving Uptown Transit Station at 9:58 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted by 10 to 15 minutes to reflect reopening of 38th St. bridge and to maintain connections with Blue Line.

ROUTE 39

  • Schedule times adjusted to better reflect actual travel times.
  • Northbound trip that leaves Park Ave. & 27th St. at 3:34 p.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 46

  • Underused morning school trips will be eliminated.
  • Additional schedule changes made to serve new school day at Washburn High School.

ROUTE 53*

  • Eastbound trip leaving Uptown Transit Station at 6:30 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Westbound trip leaving Grove St. & Lafayette Rd. at 3:57 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Eastbound trip that leaves Uptown Station at 6:44 a.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 54*

  • Eastbound trips leaving Mall of America Transit Station at 3:45 and 5:47 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Eastbound 54M trips leaving Mall of America Transit Station at 7:36 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Westbound trips leaving Union Depot at 4:46 and 6:37 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Westbound trip leaving Maplewood Mall Transit Center at 4:47 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Eastbound trips that leave Mall of America at 3:25 and 5:27 p.m. will be reinstated.
  • Westbound trip that leaves Union Depot at 4:26 p.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 59*

  • Southbound trip leaving 53rd Ave. & Super Target at 7:36 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Northbound trips that leave Leamington Ramp at 4:01 p.m. and 4:48 p.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 61*

  • Underused morning and afternoon school trips will be eliminated.
  • Eastbound trip that leaves 7th St. Garage at 5:15 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Westbound school trip that previously left Smith Ave. Ramp at 7:35 a.m. will leave 10 minutes later.

ROUTE 64*

  • One westbound afternoon trip leaving Johnson High School will be eliminated.
  • Westbound trip leaving Hillcrest Shopping Center at 7:34 a.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 67*

  • Eastbound trip leaving Franklin Ave. Station at 7:01 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Westbound trip leaving 4th St. and Wabasha at 8:01 a.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 71

  • Service will be simplified and will have new terminal letters.
  • Schedules will change on all days of the week.
  • Improved weekday and Saturday service on Westminster and McMenemy.
  • Service on Edgerton will follow Roselawn, Desoto, and Skillman to Little Canada and will be less frequent.
  • Limited service to Dunedin Terrace and on Cahill and 78th will be eliminated.
  • Route 71 will no longer go south of Inver Hills College to Arbor Pointe (see Route 68 for service).
  • Northbound Route 71H trips that leave Kellogg & Minnesota at 6:39 and 7:39 p.m. will be reinstated.
  • Southbound trip that leaves Sloan & Roselawn at 7:12 p.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 74*

  • Eastbound trips leaving 46th St. Station at (74S) 3:08 and 5:54 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Westbound 74A trip leaving Randolph Ave. & Snelling Ave. at 2:48 p.m. will be eliminated.
  • Westbound 74A trip leaving Sunray Transit Center at 4:30 p.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 94*

  • Eastbound Route 94D trips that leave 5th St. Garage at 5:07, 5:52 and 7:03 p.m. will be reinstated.
  • Eastbound Route 94F trip that leaves 5th St. Garage at 6:34 a.m. will be reinstated.
  • Westbound trips that leave Union Depot at 4:06 and 5:58 p.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 111

  • Northbound routing extended from 4th St. & Ridder Arena to new final stop at 4th St. & 15th Ave.

ROUTE 113

  • Northbound routing extended from 4th St. & Ridder Arena to new final stop at 4th St. & 15th Ave.
  • Schedule times will be adjusted to better reflect actual travel time.

ROUTE 114

  • Eastbound 134B trip leaving Ramp A/7th St. Transit Center at 5:00 p.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 135*

  • Northbound trip leaving 48th St. & Grand Ave. at 7:13 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Southbound trip that leaves Gateway Ramp at 5:37 p.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 141*

  • Northbound trip leaving Minneapolis Community and Tech College at 4:50 p.m. will be eliminated.

ROUTE 156*

  • Northbound trip that leaves Diamond Lake Rd. & Stevens at 6:44 a.m. will be reinstated.
  • Southbound trip that leaves Gateway Ramp at 4:11 p.m. will be reinstated.

  • Northbound Route 825F trip that leaves Leamington Ramp at 4:48 p.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 850*

  • Southbound trip leaving Coon Rapids* Riverdale Station at 6:36 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Northbound Route 850F trip that leaves 4th Ave. S. & 11th St. at 4:25 p.m. will be reinstated.

ROUTE 854*

  • Southbound trip leaving 121st & Hanson Blvd. at 6:21 a.m. will be eliminated.
  • Northbound 854C trip leaving 2nd Ave. & 11th St. at 5:04 p.m. will be eliminated.
