OCTA 11-12-2023
Effective November 12, 2023 The Bus Service Change Improvements provides a summary of the upcoming service improvements to OC Bus. This service change will provide minor route and schedule changes that include adding new trips or adjusting trips to make better connections and improved frequency of service.

Routes Details
Route 26:
Weekends: Adjust starting and ending times. Eastbound buses run from 5:09 am to 9:14 pm and Westbound buses from 5:10 am to 9:16 pm.
Route 43:
Weekdays: Adjust frequency of service to every 22 minutes.
Route 54:
Weekdays: Add one westbound trip in the morning to meet Metrolink train #805.
Route 55:
Sundays: Adjust starting and ending times. Northbound buses run from 5:37 am to 9:47 pm and Southbound buses run from 4:40 am to 8:55 pm.
Route 64:
Weekdays: Adjust starting and ending times. Eastbound buses run from 4:22 am to 11:59 am and Westbound buses from 4:23 am to 11:59 pm. Adjust frequency of service to every 12 minutes during morning and afternoon peak periods.
Saturdays: Adjust starting and ending times. Eastbound buses run from 5:05 am to 11:30 pm and Westbound buses from 4:53 am to 11:05 pm.
Sundays: Adjust starting and ending times. Eastbound buses run from 5:10 am to 10:54 pm and Westbound buses from 5:06 am to 10:54 pm.
Route 66:
All Days: Adjust starting time. Westbound buses start running at 4:30 am.
Route 70:
Weekdays: Adjust starting and ending times. Eastbound buses run from 4:24 am to 12:07am and Westbound buses from 4:06 am to 11:44 pm. Adjust frequency of service to every 12 minutes during morning and afternoon peak periods. Adjust frequency of service between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm from 20/40 to 30/60 minutes and to 60 after 8:00 pm.
Saturdays: Adjust starting and ending times. Westbound buses from 5:00 am to 10:39 pm. Adjust frequency to 60 minutes after 8:00 pm.
Sundays: Adjust starting and ending times. Eastbound buses run from 4:50 am to 9:50 pm and Westbound buses from 5:30 am to 9:50 pm. Adjust frequency to 60 minutes after 8:00 pm.
Route 72:
Weekdays: Discontinue detour at the 405 Freeway. Add one trip Eastbound and one trip Westbound. Saturday: Discontinue detour at the 405 Freeway. Sunday: Discontinue detour at the 405 Freeway.
Route 79:
Weekdays: Adjust starting and ending times. Northbound buses run from 5:41 am to 9:54 pm and Southbound buses from 5:26 am to 9:42 pm. Adjust frequency of service to 40 minutes during midday.
Weekends: Adjust starting and ending times. Northbound buses run from 5:39 am to 8:37 pm and Southbound buses from 5:10 am to 9:10 pm.
Route 83:
Weekdays: Adjust starting and ending times. Northbound buses run from 4:24 am to 10:53 pm and Southbound buses from 4:29 am to 10:57 pm.
Saturdays: Adjust starting and ending times. Eastbound buses run from 5:19 am to 10:52 pm and Westbound buses from 5:00 am to 11:14 pm.
Sundays: Adjust starting and ending times. Eastbound buses run from 5:06 am to 11:00 pm and Westbound buses from 5:23 am to 10:43 pm.
Route 167:
Weekdays: Adjust starting and ending times. Northbound buses run from 5:18 am to 8:37 pm and Southbound buses from 5:11 am to 8:43 pm. Adjust frequency of service to 55 minutes all day.
Route 178:
Weekdays: Adjust frequency of service to 50 minutes from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.
400A:
Weekdays: Eliminate 3:49 pm, 4:38 pm, and 4:53 PM northbound trips.
401B:
Weekdays: Eliminate 4:51 PM northbound trip and 5:34 pm southbound trip.
403D:
Weekdays: Extend route to Sand Canyon and Irvine Center Drive.
Route 453:
Weekdays: Add one eastbound trip in the afternoon to meet Metrolink train #602.
Route 543:
Weekdays: Adjust frequency of service to every 22 minutes.
Route 862:
All Days: Eliminate detour at the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center.
