SERVICE UPDATES PIERCE TRANSIT IS ADJUSTING SERVICE BEGINNING AUGUST 31 AND SEPTEMBER 3, 2023 All changes listed below are effective September 3, except for Route 101 Gig Harbor Trolley service. To plan ahead, use our Trip Planner or the Transit app.

Route 28: Sunday trips are added.

Route 48: A Sunday trip is added.

Route 57: On all days, this route is partially re-routed in the Hilltop district. Bus stops along Martin Luther King Jr. Way shift to Tacoma Ave S., and more stops are served on S. 19th St., between S. J St. and Tacoma Ave S.

Route 100: Sunday trips are added.

Route 101: Seasonal service ends on August 31.

Route 212: A Sunday trip is added.

Route 497: Weekday times are changed to better align with Sounder S-Line times.

Labor Day and Other Holidays

Pierce Transit modifies some service to more closely match ridership levels on holidays and days around those holidays. For example, Labor Day falls on Monday September 4, but Pierce Transit buses will be following Sunday schedules that day, and the Customer Service Center (Bus Shop) will be closed.
