SamTrans 1-21-2018

Effective Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, SamTrans will merge 12 of its routes into six to simplify service. The mergers will mean fewer transfers for customers. Schedules for seven routes will also be adjusted to improve service or add service. New timetables will soon be available on SamTrans buses, at schedule outlets and at www.samtrans.com/upcomingchanges.

Summary of Changes

130

Routes 130 and 131 will merge and become Route 130. Bus stops from both routes will continue to be served. Schedule will be adjusted.

141

Routes 133 and 141 will merge and become Route 141. Bus stops from both routes will continue to be served. Schedule will be adjusted. Eastbound, schoolday only, a Thursday trip will depart Niles/Cedar at 1:50 p.m. and a school-day only trip will be added at 3:30 p.m. to serve Peninsula High School.

Routes 260 and 261 will merge and become Route 260 Bus stops from both routes will continue to be served. Schedule will be adjusted. The eastbound 3:13 p.m. trip will depart College of San Mateo five minutes later. Saturday, new stop added at Polhemus/De Anza.

Routes 273 and 295 will merge and become Route 295. Bus stops from both routes will continue to be served. Schedule will be adjusted. Service will also be extended to Sequoia Hospital.

286

Routes 86 and 286 will merge and become Route 286. Buses will continue to serve Route 86 school-day only stops. The eastbound 7:59 a.m. trip will depart Sharon Park at 8:10 a.m., arriving at Middlefield/Oak Grove at 8:30 a.m. Eastbound trips will end at Middlefield/Oak Grove. A westbound trip departing Ringwood/Arlington at 5:37 p.m. will be added to the schedule.

296

Routes 296 and 297 will merge and become Route 296. Bus stops from both routes will continue to be served. Service will be extended to the Ravenswood Health Clinic. On weekdays between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m., adjustments of up to 17 minutes earlier will be made to trip times.

ECR

All trips will be adjusted by up to 10 minutes later to improve on-time performance.

The southbound 2:08 p.m. trip will depart Linda Mar Park & Ride at 2:18 p.m.

Service will be extended to Daly City BART. Buses will continue to serve Colma BART then Daly City. A new trip will be added that departs Daly City BART at 7:40 p.m. Schedule will be adjusted.

All weekend trips will be adjusted by up to 10 minutes earlier or later to improve on-time performance.

School-days only, the bus will stop at the College of San Mateo Transit Center on the way to and from Aragon High School. No change in schedule.

The northbound 7:13 a.m. trip will depart at 7:35 a.m., arriving at Carlmont High School by 8:10 a.m.

The eastbound 6:15 p.m. trip will be eliminated due to low ridership.
