AUGUST CHANGE DAY 2023

The Utah Transit Authority is constantly reviewing, updating, and adjusting service across the region, and we do so three times a year: April, August, and December. These adjustments are considered based on evolving ridership patterns, ongoing community needs, and feedback received from the general public.

Click on any of the route numbers listed [/Rider-Info/Change-Day here] to see a summary of the changes and modifications made to each particular route, with a link to the route�s updated schedule.

Among other changes, three major themes have evolved for August 2023:

  • Full service provided on OGX in Ogden
  • Saturday service on TRAX and S-Line in Salt Lake City increase to 15-minute frequency
  • Long-term detours persist on routes 1, 2, 4, 9, 205, 209, and 220; in downtown Salt Lake City, the detours are due to ongoing construction on 200 South

All service adjustments go into effect on August 20, 2023.

OGX NEW SERVICE

  • UTA's newest BRT line running between Ogden Central Station and McKay'Dee Hospital, via Weber State University and Downtown Ogden
  • Service will run:
    • Every 10 minutes on weekdays (4:30 a.m.-midnight)
      • Every 5 minutes between Weber State Central and Dee Events Center stations, in conjunction with the OGX Wildcat Shuttle
    • Every 15 minutes on Saturdays (9 a.m.-10:30 p.m.)
    • Every 30 minutes on Sundays (10 a.m.-6 p.m.)

OGX Wildcat Shuttle

  • Schedule adjusted to offset with OGX main line service
  • OGX will run every 5 minutes between Weber State Central and Dee Events Center stations

UVX

  • Schedule adjusted to match FrontRunner schedule

TRAX Blue Line IMPROVED SERVICE

  • Trains will come every 15 minutes on Saturdays, matching weekday service
  • Sunday schedule adjusted to offset the Red Line, providing trains every 15 minutes between Courthouse and Fashion Place West Stations

TRAX Green Line IMPROVED SERVICE

  • Trains will come every 15 minutes on Saturdays, matching weekday service
  • Schedule adjusted for reliability

TRAX Red Line IMPROVED SERVICE

  • Trains will come every 15 minutes on Saturdays, matching weekday service
  • Sunday schedule adjusted to offset the Blue Line, providing trains every 15 minutes between Courthouse and Fashion Place West Stations

S-Line IMPROVED SERVICE

  • Trains will come every 15 minutes on Saturdays, matching weekday service

FrontRunner IMPROVED SERVICE

  • Ogden Station renamed to Ogden Central Station, coinciding with the opening of OGX
  • New weekday trips added
    • Southbound trip from Ogden Central to Salt Lake Central at 7:37 p.m. will be extended to Provo Central
    • New southbound trip from Ogden Central to Salt Lake Central at 9:37 p.m.
    • Northbound trip from Provo Central to North Temple at 6:16 p.m. will be extended to Ogden Central
    • New northbound trip from Provo Central to North Temple at 8:16 p.m.
    • Friday only: new northbound trip from Provo Central to North Temple at 10:46 p.m.

Route 1 NEW ROUTING

  • Downtown routing adjusted due to construction on 200 South
    • Trips to University Hospital will use South Temple between West Temple and 200 East
    • Trips to Poplar Grove will use 100 South between 200 East and West Temple
  • Western end of the route extended to Orange Street Transit Center in Poplar Grove

Route 2 NEW ROUTING

  • Routing restored to 200 South between 700 East and 900 East
  • Schedule adjustments due to construction

Route 4 NEW ROUTING

  • Service to Cheyenne Street, 500 South, and Redwood Road discontinued
    • Trips to Poplar Grove will end at 400 S / Redwood Rd (WB)
    • Trips to Olympus Cove will begin at 400 S / Redwood Rd (EB)

Route 9 NEW ROUTING

  • Western end of the route extended to Orange Street Transit Center in Poplar Grove
  • Service to Cheyenne Street, 500 South, and Redwood Road discontinued
  • Route temporarily shifted to 800 South between 300 West and 900 East due to construction

Route 17

  • Location of timed stops adjusted

Route 21

  • Schedule adjusted for reliability

Route 33

  • Schedule adjusted for reliability

Route 35

  • Schedule adjusted to match TRAX schedule on weekends

Route 39

  • Schedule adjusted to match TRAX schedule on weekends

Route 45

  • Schedule adjusted to improve transfers at Murray Central Station

Route 47

  • Schedule adjusted for reliability and to match TRAX schedule

Route 54

  • Schedule adjusted to match TRAX schedule

Route 62

  • Schedule adjusted to match TRAX schedule on Saturdays

Route 72

  • Schedule adjusted for reliability

Route F94 IMPROVED SERVICE

  • Route will run every 15 minutes on weekday afternoons

Route 200

  • Schedule adjusted for better connections at North Temple Station

Route F202 NEW ROUTING

  • Route extended north to Fashion Place West Station via 700 West, Winchester St
  • Route extended south to South Jordan Station via Jordan Gateway
  • No service to Bingham Junction and Sandy Civic Center stations

Route 205 NEW ROUTING

  • Downtown routing adjusted due to construction on 200 South
    • Trips to Murray North Station will use South Temple between 300 West and State St, and 100 South between State St and 500 East
    • Trips to Poplar Grove will use 100 South between 500 East and West Temple, and South Temple between West Temple and 300 West
  • Western end of the route adjusted
    • Trips to Poplar Grove will end at 400 S / Redwood Rd (EB)
    • Trips to Murray North Station will begin at 400 S / Redwood Rd (WB)

Route 209 NEW ROUTING

  • Downtown routing adjusted due to construction on 200 South
    • Trips to Fashion Place West Station will use South Temple between 400 West and State Street
    • Trips to Salt Lake Central Station will use 100 South between State Street and West Temple, and South Temple between West Temple and 400 West

Route 213

  • Schedule adjusted for reliability

Route 217

  • Schedule adjusted to improve connections at 1940 W. North Temple Station

Route 220 NEW ROUTING

  • Routing restored to 200 South between 700 East and 900 East
  • Schedule adjustments due to construction

Route 223

  • Schedule adjusted to reduce holding at timed stops

Route 240

  • Schedule adjusted for reliability and to improve connections to TRAX

Route 451

  • Schedule adjusted to improve connections to TRAX

Route F453
