August Change Day 2022

The Utah Transit Authority is updating, adjusting and expanding service across the region this August. This important service is based on evolving ridership patterns, ongoing community needs and feedback received from the general public. Changes to service based on these criteria occur three times each calendar, in April, August and December.

All service adjustments go into effect as of August 7, 2022.

Please note that the start of service date is currently unspecified for two new stations - The Vineyard Station on FrontRunner and the 600 S TRAX Station. Once each of these stations are ready to begin service, which is expected in the short term, this page will be updated and service alerts sent. UTA On Demand IMPROVED SERVICE

  • New service area: South Davis
    • New on-demand service in Bountiful, Centerville, North Salt Lake, West Bountiful, and Woods Cross
    • Replaces routes 460, 461, 462, 463, and 471 (suspended in April 2020) and F605
    • Hours of service: Weekdays 6 am to 9 pm
  • New service area: Tooele County
    • New on-demand service in Tooele, Grantsville, Stansbury Park
    • Replaces F400 and F402, as well as portions of F453
    • Hours of service: Weekdays 7 am to 7 pm

FrontRunner

  • Schedule adjusted for reliability

TRAX Blue Line

  • Schedule adjusted for reliability and improved FrontRunner connections

TRAX Green Line

  • Schedule adjusted for reliability and improved FrontRunner connections

TRAX Red Line

  • Schedule adjusted for reliability and improved FrontRunner connections

UVX IMPROVED SERVICE

  • Frequency improved to every 6 minutes between Orem Central and Provo Central stations during weekday peak hours
  • Schedule adjusted for improved FrontRunner connections

Route 1 NEW SERVICE

  • New route between Poplar Grove and the University of Utah via Redwood Rd, 1000 North, 900 West, North Temple, and South Temple
  • Replaces portions of routes 6, 519, 520, 919, 920

Route 2

  • Schedule adjusted for reliability

Route 3 SERVICE DISCONTINUED

  • Route discontinued
  • Replaced by extended route 223

Route 6 SERVICE DISCONTINUED
