VIA 1-8-2018

VIA Metropolitan Transit will implement the following service improvements beginning January 8, 2018:

  • Route 2: service modified to remove segment on Loop 1604 from Blanco to Huebner.
  • Route 6: service modified to operate every 30 minutes from 5:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., and 3:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. Mid-day service will not be available.
  • Route 40 VIVA missions: will be extended to serve Mission Espada.
  • Routes 502, 602, 607, 611, 613, 615, 616, 617, 618: will be improved to operate every 30 minutes, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., weekdays.
  • Routes 20, 26: will be improved to operate every 12 minutes, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., weekdays.
  • Routes 2, 66, 68, 77, 522, 603, 604, 605, 606, 609, 612, 614, 619: will have minor schedule changes.

Some routes traveling through Downtown or a transit facility continue as a different route (route pair) departing that location. The following route pairs will be changed:

  • Current Pairs: 20-66, 26-68, 502–, 602-604, 606-607, 607-606, 611-612, 614-615
  • New Pairs: 20-26, 66-68, 502-602, 604-606, 607-618, 604-606, 612-614, 609–

VIA Metropolitan Transit will implement the following Routes to serve the new Stone Oak Park & Ride starting in the Spring of 2018:

  • Route 7 – New Express Service: every 30 minutes between the new Stone Oak Park & Ride and Downtown. The route will operate from 5:45 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Route 503 – New service: every 30-60 minutes from 5:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, between the new Stone Oak Park & Ride and the Medical Center Transit Center.
