Valley Metro 1-22-2024

Background

Valley Metro and City of Phoenix are making improvements to the transit system through service and schedule adjustments. These changes help develop an effective regional transit system that supports Valley communities, businesses and residents. Although changes to service and schedule are typically made in April and October, Valley Metro is updating its transit system in January at the same time the Northwest Extension Phase II light rail project will officially open for service. Changes go into effect on Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, unless noted otherwise.

Route extension

Light rail: Extend route from 19th Ave/Dunlap to Metro Parkway station on Saturday, Jan. 27.

Service adjustments

Route 27—27th Ave: Bus service will move from Metrocenter Transit Center to Thelda Williams Transit Center on Saturday, Jan. 27.

Route 35—35th Ave: Bus service will move from Metrocenter Transit Center to Thelda Williams Transit Center on Saturday, Jan. 27.

Route 90—Dunlap Ave/Cave Creek Rd: Bus service will move from Metrocenter Transit Center to Thelda Williams Transit Center on Saturday, Jan. 27.

Route 106—Peoria Ave: Bus service will move from Metrocenter Transit Center to Thelda Williams Transit Center on Saturday, Jan. 27.

Route 186—Union Hills Dr/Mayo Blvd: Route remains on Mayo Blvd and no longer serves the Mayo Clinic.

I-17 RAPID: Bus service will move from Metrocenter Transit Center to Thelda Williams Transit Center on Monday, Jan. 29.
