Valley Metro 10-23-2023
Background
Valley Metro and City of Phoenix service changes occur to develop an effective regional transit system that supports Valley communities, businesses and residents. These service changes have been approved by the Valley Metro Board of Directors (for Valley Metro-operated service) and the Phoenix City Council (for City of Phoenix-operated service.)
These changes are scheduled to take effect on October 23, 2023.

Oct 2023 Service Changes
Route Extension
Route 48—48th St: Extend route on Rio Salado Pkwy from Tempe Marketplace to Mesa Riverview.
Service Increase
Route 3—Van Buren St: Weekdays from 6 a.m.-7 p.m., modify frequency to 15 minutes between 35th Ave. and 32nd St., and extend 15-minute frequency to 44th St.
Route 7—7th St: Weekdays from 6 a.m.-7 p.m., modify frequency to 15 minutes between Dunlap Ave. and Baseline Rd., and 30 minutes north of Dunlap Ave. and south of Baseline Rd.
Route 16—16th St: Weekdays from 6 a.m.-7 p.m., increase frequency to 15 minutes between Northern Ave. and Baseline Rd.
Route 19—19th Ave: Weekdays from 6 a.m.-7 p.m., increase frequency to 15 minutes for the entire route.
Route 27—27th Ave: Weekdays 6-9 a.m. and 1-6 p.m., increase frequency to 15 minutes between Bell Rd. and Lower Buckeye Rd.
Route 35—35th Ave: Weekdays from 6 a.m.-7 p.m., increase frequency from Metro Center Transit Center to Lower Buckeye Rd.
Route 70—24th St/Glendale Ave: Weekdays from 6 a.m.-7 p.m., increase frequency to 15 minutes between 43rd Ave. and Baseline Rd.
Service Reduction
Peoria POGO Blue Route: Eliminate route.
Peoria POGO Red Route: Eliminate route.
Peoria POGO Green Route: Eliminate route.
Avondale ZOOM: Eliminate route.
