Sound Transit Link
Link is an electric light rail/streetcar system in the Seattle region owned and operated by Sound Transit. Currently it consists of three disconnected lines (only connected via Sounder Commuter Rail and Sound Transit Express buses). Sound Transit is undertaking several rail extension projects to expand the Link system throughout the 3 county region.

How to take Link
Before boarding the trains, buy your train ticket from a ticket machine or use an ORCA card. On Line 1 and 2, fare is $3 one way. On Line T, fare is $2. Link uses the proof of payment system and passengers caught without a valid ticket or pass are subject to eviction and/or citation. OCRA card riders need to tap on at a yellow card reader before boarding.
Bicycles can be taken aboard the light rail at all hours on all cars with no additional fare. To ride on the light rail with a bike:
- Board the train through the two center doors (with a bike decal)
- Lift your bike vertically into the rack located near the center section (joint)
Bicyclists can also stand by the doors at the center portion of the car and hold on to their bikes.
Disabled access
All stations provide complete level boarding between platforms and trains. Elevator access is available at underground and elevated stations.
