About the route
Route 1 is a local route along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway (SR-1) between CSU Long Beach and San Clemente, near the border of Camp Pendleton, serving beaches and coastal cities. Selected trips operate only between Newport Transportation Center and San Clemente. It's a lengthy route, with the total trip time between Long Beach and San Clemente ranging from 2 hours and 10 minutes to 2 1/2 hours, depending on the time of day.
