Bay Wheels is a regional bike sharing program for the Bay Area. Cities served include San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Emeryville, and Berkeley. The main purpose of the bike sharing system is to enhance connection to and from transit with bicycles. Former names for Bay Wheels include Ford GoBike (2017-2019) and Bay Area Bike Share (2013-2017). Lyft is the owner/operator of the bike share system so bikes can be unlocked through the Lyft app.
