Castro Station is the main transit hub for The Castro neighborhood in San Francisco.
Muni Metro
Paying the fare
Pay cash fare at the Muni faregates on the concourse level. The faregates only take $1 coins. Bill to coin changers are available at the station. Take the transfer from the faregate and keep it as proof of payment.
If you have a valid pass or transfer, enter at the faregate adjacent to the booth and show the attendant your pass or transfer.
Boarding trains
The underground station features side platforms. See sign for destination before heading to the platform.
Outbound platform: K M to Balboa Park, L to SF Zoo
Downtown platform: L M to Embarcadero, T to Sunnydale
Muni Metro opens until about 1:00am.
