One way fares on New Orleans RTA can be paid with cash.

If your trip requires a transfer, buy a transfer when boarding the first vehicle. Transfer is valid for the next 2 hours up to 3 trips but not on the returning vehicle.

Senior (age 65 or over) and disabled riders pay reduced fare. An ID is needed for senior fare eligibility (including passport for international travelers). ID issued by RTA is needed for disabled riders.
