Richmond – San Rafael Bridge

The Richmond - San Rafael Bridge is the only road link directly between Marin County and the East Bay.

Currently, the Richmond - San Rafael Bridge is closed to pedestrian and bicycle traffic. However, transit links are available for pedestrians and bicyclists to travel across the Bay.

Transit Over the Bridge

  • Golden Gate Transit 40/42 provides bus connections between San Rafael in Marin County with Richmond and El Cerrito in the East Bay. All Golden Gate Transit buses can carry bicycles.
