On buses operated by KCATA, Johnson County and Independence, change is provided via a change card, which is valid for future bus fare payments for up to 1 year. No change is provided on buses operated by Unified Government Transit.
KC Ride Mobile app is available for fare payment.
Reduced fare eligibility vary between buses operated by KCATA/UGT, Johnson County, or Independence. All routes accept presentation of a reduced fare card (application from KCATA, Johnson County, or Independence) or Medicare card. Johnson County and Independence also accept driver's license and student ID.
